Lake Talbot Swimming Park

Reviewed By Life2LiveLoveLaugh

We've driven through Narrandera many times on our family drive between Melbourne and Armidale, and never knew this place existed. A 47deg day and a quick search for a community pool we stumbled upon this, and wondered how we could have not known about this hidden oasis - it was just so good! 3 pools (shallow, medium and deep/lap), 2 water slides, shaded platforms in the pools to rest, and umbrellas over sections of the pools to comfortably rest in the water on a hot day. Lots of green grassy and shaded areas to put your stuff down on, and fabulous old fashioned country customer service from the counter to the kiosk and the lifeguards. Better yet it was such great value (when we visited it was $4pp entry, 50c slide rides and $1 slushies and sundaes) . You could easily spend a day here with the kids, without breaking the budget, and you'd all walk out happy. We'll be back there again for sure, and may even consider staying at the caravan park accomodation next door. Highly recommend this pool and water park as a summer stop for families with young, tween and teenagers.
