Bought an all-day pass for rides and the kids took off. Some rode the same ride three times in a row, a couple tried a "scary" ride for them and liked it and the usual Ferris wheel, swings, and carousel were favorites. It is a bright, noisy and exciting place for a day of fun. For the adults, it is great people watching and finding a bench to sit and have a cup of coffee while watching and visiting.

Six thousand square feet of Lego models in the Mall of America.
Amazing!! For anyone who appreciates the creativity and imagination that Legos stimulate, this store and exhibit is a must see. The exhibits on top of the store are mind boggling, utilizing millions of pieces to make. Inside the store, you can peruse thousands of kits or buy individual pieces in all colors and piece shapes you can imagine. I purchased a kit for my grandson but, could have spent thousands just buying fun kits for myself.

Large, beautifully restored antique carousel with 68 hand-carved horses and two chariots. Lovingly cared for by volunteers, who operate it in warm weather, May 1-Oct. 31 each year. Children under 3 ride free but must be accompanied by a paying adult; other safety rules are presented in a brief pre-ride speech. This carousel operated at the Minnesota State Fair from 1914 to 1989 and was saved by the community from being broken up and sold at auction. Enjoy!

I'm gluten free not by choice. They have a ton of options to include very safe choices at many locations throughout the park. I was very impressed at how many delicious and safe options there were. As someone that is very gluten sensitive, I had zero problems! Just some of the choices for actual meals are turkey leg, roasted corn on the cob, burgers and hotdogs with buns and French fries which were safe and gf as thats all they cook in the fryer. There are also numerous snacks as well. Had a sick kid Friday so I called and asked if we could come on Saturday instead. We bought the all inclusive passes that includes parking, meals all day long, refills on pop all day long, park access and water park access as well as fast passes. Was worried cause the passes were really only good for Friday. I called and talked to a supervisor and he said it would be just fine for us to use it the next day! We came the next day and and sure enough no problem. Also had a child misplace a drink bottle and another lose their wristband. Talked to front office and badabing badabing! New drink and new bracelet. In my experience, they really have the concept of customer satisfaction down pat! I've been to many parks like this and valley fair beats them all! Regarding the fast passes people, get them as they are soooo worth it. Literally could walk up and get on all the rides that have long wait times. Went on the best coaster they have 3 times in a row within a 20 minute period. Meanwhile, the other folks were still waiting for ride number 1. The cost was good overall. The package we got was purchased online on their website. For a $100 a person, you got the all inclusive package I mentioned. And with teenagers, forgetaboutit! They could eat and drink when they were hungry and thirsty and the parent doesn't even need to deal with it. Keep in mind this includes the fast pass too! Valley fair exceeded my expectations and as a result, "I'll be back!" Jason from Des Moines, Iowa
