Awesome, 4-person tour with a fabulous guide! You start early in the morning (6:00-6:30 am) and drive to the flamingo reserve. We were the first to enter the park and enjoyed a nice walk prior to breakfast. Breakfast was very nice, including hot eggs. After another hike, we headed to a small village (Socaire) where we interacted with a woman knitting gloves and purchased incredible volcanic rocks. We had a nice stroll through Tocanic village where we made our way around the water and lush fruit trees. I'm not sure our hike was supposed to be part of the tour but it was a great spot! I highly recommend this tour. Make sure they don't try to put you on another tour if the # of sign-ups is low. You are paying for a small group and it was part of why the tour was great (in addition to the guide).

We did the Gautin and Quesar hike with Emilio of "Enjoy Atacama" tours. He was very friendly and informative. We took several pictures and videos of our hike and posted it. At the end of the hike, he served us brilliant food and wine! since we had just come from Bolivia, we wanted to do soemthing different than Bolivia. So, we skipped the lagoons and did these two hikes - which were easy and enjoyable by the kids and us!

We booked a return tour from San Pedro Atacama to Uyuni salt flat. Overall the tour was amazing. We were lucky to have Wilson as our guide. He was driving carefully, giving a lot of info about the sights (in Spanish only), and he is also good at taking photos, which was useful at the salt flats. Communication prior to the tour was good too, Gabriel was always available to answer our questions. The slight downside was dealing with addional requests. Another couple from our group didn't get the private bathroom they paid for. The change of the driver in Uyuni, after the main part if the tour was finished, was a bit of unpleasant surprise. If you join this tour pack soap, sanitiser and toilet paper, as hygenic facilities are basic.

Sandboarding is a sport that consists of descending sand dunes or hills with special snowboard-like boards. The most famous place in Chile to practice this sport is the Death Valley, located just 2 kilometers from San Pedro do Atacama. Let's head from the center of San Pedro do Atacama to the Valley of Death. Once we have already selected our equipment (helmet, boots and board), we will climb to the top of the dune to receive an introduction class, in which they will teach us what are the best practices of this sport. After class we will start with the descents, which are accompanied by the spectacular landscapes of the Death Valley, with their strange rock formations surrounding the dune.
