We thoroughly enjoyed our visit for lunch and wine tasting at this family owned winery. We have visited many wineries but this was such a unique experience- the sensory tasting really took the time to explore the flavor and smell notes of the wine. The description and accompanying videos of the wine making process were thorough and informative. The food courses were expertly prepared by one of the owners. The baked pasta was unlike anything I have had before and apparently typical of the region. I will crave that pasta years from now when I reminisce. The icing on the cake was the opportunity to involve my children in bottling and corking and labeling our own small bottles of wine. It was such a cool experience. Come here if you appreciate the passion of winemaking in an intimate setting.

We couldn’t decide which islands to visit but our host advised Marretima was more beautiful and less touristy. Not sure how long it is since he’s been there and we didn’t stop at Favignana or Levanzo but we were greeted at Marretima by loud music and someone on a microphone - not a good start. We travelled on Pironi Lines (?) Lady M and the boat was reasonably comfortable, the toilet clean and lunch consisted of anti pasta, a small plate of rigatoni and a tasty sauce, and melon. We were also given water and wine. Marretima itself would probably be good to stay on if you’re a walker but what you can see in the two hours stopover is a small touristy area and a pebbly beach. However, back on the Lady M we circumnavigated the island to see the sea caves and we’re surprised at how close in the captain got. We stopped for two great swims, then headed back, with a view onto Levanzo on the way home. For €55 I thought this was a pleasant day out on a smaller boat than the ones that go to F&L but it was a lot of time at sea with nothing to look at, there and back.

I booked this tour online and paid €60. When I arrived at the port I saw the same trip was €40 if bought there. I paid an additional 50%for the privilege of booking online!!! Also I had to pay an additional €2.50 City tax which wasn't notified. I contacted the company and they said it was tour operator costs - no refund. They said no one had complained before - I find that really hard to believe. Unless you like throwing your money away I'd suggest waiting until you get to the port. The trip itself is enjoyable and the islands are lovely. Under covid they, naturally can't provide snorkeling equipment but definitely bring your own. So worth it. Lunch was pasta with tinned tomato and slice of melon. Bottled water was a plastic cup with lunch. A good day out if you can get past the rip off.

Angela was a great guide with a deep knowledge of Erice and Sicilian history and culture. She really gave us a great tour of the beautiful hilltop town and was so lovely to invite us to see her parents house which is in classic Erician style with a beautiful courtyard. What a dreamy place! Thank you Angela!!

Angela is a wonderful tourist guide! She was enthusiastic, passionate, informative, helpful and kind. Besides being very well educated in the topic, she is a real Erice native - born and raised there. She gave us a lot of valuable insights and could answer all the questions we had. It was a pleasure to discover charming Erice with such a knowledgable and fun tourist guide! Highly recommend her!

It is a full day trip from Palermo to Etna and Taormina. Our guide Josephine was amazing and told us a lot about Sicily along the way. When we arrived to Etna it occurred that the cable car wasn't working and we had to go to the top by bus. Unfortunately, this took much longer time than a cable car so we had just a shirt stay on the top. After Etna we went to Taormina which is a breath-taking town with wonderful views over Etna and the sea. I wish we could stay there longer as it is a truly beautiful place. Overall, I would recommend this trip to everyone but be ready for a full day trip with lots of driving which can be tiring.
