I had booked a short tour on Buddapest's Jewish and Ottoman culture with City Unscripted and I was impressed with the way the team handled this tour. They were very professional and quick to respond. The host they had selected for me, Krisztián Wimmer, was very informative, friendly and helpful. He had planned the trip very well and in detail. He even managed to cover some tour spots which most of the local guides do not even mention e.g. Gül Baba's tomb, a short but steep walk from the Margaret Bridge (thanks for the work out Krisztián!). He also recommended few very nice local eateries/restaurants. This tour really set the tone for my travels thereon. Many thanks to the team of City Unscripted and the host Krisztián.

7. 4 hours Wine and Nature Tour Szentendre

Szentendre és Térsége TDM Nonprofit Kft./Tourinform Szentendre, Szentendre, Dumtsa Jenő u. 22, 2000 Hungary 2Hungary

Cellar walk under Szentendre Viticulture has had centuries of tradition in Szentendre. Before the beginning of the phyloxera epidemic of 1882, the town was famous for its high quality wines both in Hungary and abroad. And famous wines needed expert storing: this is how the ten kilometers long system of cellars (intact to this day) came to be. It speaks volumes of the size and scope of winemaking in the days of yore. Although part of this system got filled in or completely abandoned over the past centurywe are lucky to say that more than enough of it remained for us to discover together. The tour across and below the town will not only treat our eyes and minds, but also out taste buds, as it will be complemented by wine tasting. Wines for this will be supplied by the local Kőhegybor Winery, whose owners made it their mission to wake the once flourishing Szentendrean viticulture from its 130-years long slumber.

Inclusions: Wine tasting, winery visit, cellar visit

Exclusions: Private transportation

We were honored to be Petra's first Customer who booked through her new website and company to tour the Budapest Jewish Quarter. We had a wonderful 4 hours of Petra's dedicated time and enjoyed the wealth of knowledge she brought to the 4 of us as we learned about the Budapest Jewish Heritage and Culture. Petra clearly has a passion for the history and culture of Budapest, and was able to present it so clearly to all of us. Her English was excellent, and her knowledge of the Jewish people was very strong, even though she is not Jewish herself. We suspect Petra would be an excellent tour guide in any area Around Budapest, but unfortunately, we only had time to use her expertise for the Jewish Quarter. Thank you Petra for the wonderful morning you spent with us.

10. History of Vác with young local historian

Vác, Ady Endre stny. 5, 2600 Hungary Adam Cseh

I grew up in Vac and live here since then. I know the city by hearth. All the nice spots, restaurants, cafés and places to visit. Vác is the most famous city of Hungary when it comes to baroque architecture and unique monuments such as the triumphal arch, the only of it's kind in Hungary. The prison played a crucial part of the history of the 20th century. It has been "home" for well-known politicians, poets and patriots. The beautiful Danube promenade offers a stunning view from the city. A romantic vibe for everyone seeking it. Vac is also the symbol of millennial tolerance among it's citizens, which shaped the people and let them prosper.

Inclusions: Weather is getting cold, so we included a hot drink after the tour to warm you up.
