This merits a long visit. It's an archeological park which is Unesco site. There is a 16,000 seat Greek theatre where Gladiator spectacles took place. Also see the Paradise quarry-- a white limestone quarry filled with tunnels and caves. Your kids (if you bring them) will love how voices echo in the big cave. Some guides sing and it's lovely.

Pantalica is absolutely beautiful and the history behind the place is amazing. At one point, we saw a still-functioning acqueduct carved thousands of years ago into the side of a cliff with ancient cave tombs overhead. Incredible place and I couldn't believe I had never heard of it before. Giuseppe, a native of Sicily, is more than knowledgeable about the history and he's clearly passionate about nature. I had a fantastic time and I'd recommend this trip to anyone.

If thinking about hiking in Pantalica you are highly recommended to choose Carlo as your guide. We did a wonderful day tour and it felt like hiking with a friend not a stranger. He knew a lot about the place, is very easy to talk to and you can feel that he loves this gorgeous island. My train was more than late that day and he was very flexible with the pick up as well. Go with Carlo, you won't regret it ????

Came here with my husband for our wedding anniversary and we had a lovely experience is Cassa de montabalno. Maria the housekeeper was amazing. Very helpful friendly and when we arrived we had to organise a Covid test. She organised it with the help of Ivana and we were very happy that they helped us. Maria was a source of information and arranged us to go on a day tour on a Montabalno Day Tour with Nunzio the taxi driver. We had a wonderful day. I would highly recommend this b&b to anyone who loves the tv show. Only negative was we missed the season and not many restaurants were open but we didn’t starve. We bought our food in the local shop and ate on the balcony in the evening. Thank you for having us!

The city of Ragusa in Italy rises out of rough spurs and river crags on an urban strip with steep declivity. It was an elect ground for architects who accentuated natural irregularities, creating unique connections and monumental effects.
