Kutaisi (Georgian: ქუთაისი [kʰutʰɑisi]; ancient names: Aea/Aia, Kotais, Kutatisi, Kutaïsi) is the legislative capital of Georgia, and its 3rd most populous city. Situated 221 kilometres (137 miles) west of Tbilisi, on the Rioni River, it is the capital of the western region of Imereti. Historically one of the major cities of Georgia, it served as the capital of the Kingdom of Georgia in the Middle Ages, and later as the capital of the Kingdom of Imereti. The Parliament of Georgia moved to Kutaisi in 2012, in an effort to both acknowledge the status of the city, and to decentralise the Georgian government.

The trip was incredible. The company was extremely flexible with us! My girlfriend was sick so they offered to postpone the tour by a day or two for us to be able to do it in better conditions. Aleksi, our tour guide was extremely friendly, spoke good English, and... most importantly... He drove his car in such a gentle and comfortable manner! What a difference from most crazy rides we got from Georgia. We highly recommend this company!

Famous for its healing mineral waters and radon bath treatments, it was visited by 125 000 people yearly and Stalin himself had a private dacha and bath. There were built around 20 marble sanatoriums with inner gardens, swimming pools, and bathhouses, hotels with theatres. We had a lovely day in Kakheti region. Started with a stop to an old wine factory and tasted like 6 different yummy tips. Then headed to St. Nino Monastery. The ride there was amazing, greenary everywhere, the view from Monastry is breath taking.. Had also several mini stops to have some bread and local Georgian sweets. Then headed to the town of Signagi where we rented a 4-seater motor bike. The driver was super funny and friendly. He drove us around to main view points along with the Signagi city wall. It's impressive how long the wall stretches throughout the city. The tour guide and driver were two sweet pleasant ladies, we became friends by the end of the day. They both had so many infuriating to tell us about the area and the sites we saw.
