Rented a car and travelled around a week! Some kind of an experience, scary to drive in the centre of Tirana, cars all over, had to drive like a native. But elsewhere it was no problem, visited Durres, Vlores, Berat, Girokaster and Kruje. Would really like to go back. Food was cheap and excellent.

We had a great time climbing Mt. Hajla this past November with Gezim. The company was very accommodating to our request to climb up Mt. Hajla one way but to come down a different way so that we could finish the hike through a Drelaj village as the sun set. Gezim was a great guide who established excellent rapport with my kids. It was stunning at the top with views over 3 countries. We also did their Zip line adventure the following day, which was great fun! I highly recommend Balkan Natural Adventure!

I went on a two day tour with Besim and couldn't have asked for a kinder, more passionate guide! I contacted Init via their website and got a quick response where we then discussed what i was hoping to do with my time. I got an excellent tailored yet flexible plan which was fantastic (more info below). Bes is honest and helpful, he will really show you kosovo - it's knockout beauty, it's history, where it currently is struggling and where it's aiming to be. I am coming back as there is so much more to see and i want to go climbing, i know i will be contacting Init Experience again! Kosovo has captured my curiosity! My trip: I got picked up by Bes and then we went to valbona to hike during the day. It was beautiful and Bes expertly spoke about the area and was always conscious of pace and safety (he is also a cracking photographer, so don't worry everything will be captured!). we stayed in a local guest house and experienced homemade, delicious cooking with a big bonfire (all could speak English and were very kind, hope youre hungry!).the second day was poor weather so we drove to Pejë to do the via ferrata. It is good fun with a dash of adrenaline, i was even surprised at the top with a selection of cakes as it was my birthday! we also did a spontaneous swim in a natural spring pool - it was really warm, even in nov! I also got shown around prishtina by Bes the following day and hiked with him around the city in the national park. This is a v brief overview,i could say so much more about my amazing experience! Thank you, ????!

Head towards Gračanica, a Serbian village 10 minutes from Pristina known for its UNESCO-listed Monastery. Head towards the Visoki Decani Monastery. Monument dating from the 14th century and listed as a UNESCO heritage, you can admire these frescoes which constitute one of the summits of Serbian art, powerfully inspired by Byzantine art, in particular by the Church of the Savior of Constantinople . Visit the Patriarchal Monastery of Peja, one of the strongholds of the Orthodox religion in the region. Admire its many well-preserved frescoes and the calm and serene atmosphere present in this place.
