We will leave Marrakech at 08:00 towards the coastal city of Essaouira. This Old Portuguese town is surprising with its blue-shuttered house’s architectures and guns pointed out at sea. You will firstly stop at the port which was built in the 18th century and called Tumbuktu as it serves to connect Africa to Europe and America. It is an animated place because of fish vendors that return to the port on their multicolored fishing boats. You will then visit the Skala. Founded for military purposes, this site preserved the city from attacks with a collection of bronze cannons oriented to the ocean. You will continue exploring the Portuguese ramparts and crossing the alleys of the Medina. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Medina of Essaouira is an example of a walled city of the 18th century. Its souks expose all kinds of handicrafts: carpets, woolen clothes, aromatic products, jewelries, wooden decorations…

We just spent 10 glorious days in Morocco with Soufiane, our driver who escorted and transported us throughout our stay. Before we even arrived in the country, our flights and itinerary changed multiple times due to covid. Jamal, the owner of Easy Take, was excellent with communications and cheerfully accommodated every change we threw at him. Given his kindness and very reasonable fee, I knew we selected the right transport for our trip. Soufiane greeted us at the airport and we began our journey in Marrakesh. We were immediately taken by Soufiane's excellent English and comfort driving the roads of Morocco. We told him we wanted a guide for Marrakesh and he arranged a wonderful guide who met us at our Riad the following morning. We next drove off to Ouarzazate where we stopped for a tour of Ait Benhaddou on the way. The next day we went to a desert camp near Merzouga, one of the many highlights of our trip. Because of the pandemic, the camp was empty and Soufiane was able to stay in a nearby tent. We loved his company so much and were grateful that he shared the experience with us. After our stay we went to Fes, where Soufiane again arranged a wonderful guide to show us the city. Throughout our trip, he made sure we had all our needs met and was available to us anytime. Our next stop was Chefchaouen, a beautiful blue quaint town in the north. Soufiane joined us for dinner and it was another highlight of our trip. Our final stop was Casablanca, where his final drive was taking us to the airport. Because of the bond we had with Soufiane, it was actually sad to say goodbye. We are so grateful to Jamal, Soufiane and Easy Take Transport, all of whom made for a most memorable and special trip.

We booked a 3 day tour to the Sahara , We are two girls and felt extremely safe the entire time.we have the most incredible stay in morocco due to this tour it was completely over our expectations ! Jamal our tour guide and Omar, our driver were the best! They were both so nice and were so informative explaining all the sights along the way. All the towns we passed through were so beautiful but my favourite part of the whole trip was the desert. We went to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi Dunes and got to spend a night in tents in the Sahara Desert! We got to ride a camel to the desert camp and that was the funnest experience. All the riads we stayed in and the restaurants were fabulous choices. I highly recommend booking a tour with this company MCL . Jamal was so helpful in planning the whole experience and was always readily available on whats app. We truly cannot wait to go back to Morocco.

The tour company we booked with was Deep Morocco Tours. Our guide, Hamid, was excellent. His vehicle, a Mercedes SUV, was clean and comfortable. Hamid graciously allowed us ample time to take a multitude of photos of the goats in the trees on our way to Essaouira. He then spent most of the day doing exactly what we loved doing ... SHOPPING! We told him he didn’t have to stay with us while we went through almost every shop in town but he chose to stay with us even after one of us had to buy an extra suitcase to bring more souvenirs home. He pulled the suitcase around town while it was filled. What a guy! He took us to a lovely rooftop restaurant that overlooked the Atlantic for a fabulous seafood lunch. What a pleasant, relaxing day. The icing on the cake was when he contacted us a day later to let us know I forgot my bag of Argan oil in his vehicle. Somehow it slid up under the seat and I didn’t notice it missing. He even delivered it to our hotel. I highly recommend this company and Hamid as a guide. It was the best day out of the 4 we spent in Marrakech.

What a wonderful trip! Abdul was prompt and courteous and drove a clean, spacious vehicle. He expertly drove us through beautiful scenery, sharing local knowledge about the towns and landmarks we were passing. And the falls! Abdul gave us time to explore but understood it was time to go when our young children were tired. I HIGHLY recommend this excursion! We would do it again!

We walk through an area of euphorbia and Argan trees before we reach the ocean and enjoy ourselves hiking a long untouched beach until we turn towards the beautiful Sidi m'Barek waterfalls. We then enter the terrace fields where locals grow crops throughout the whole year. We then walk uphill in the canyon up to the village of Sidi Ahmed Essayeh. There we are welcomed by a Moroccan family for a taste of tagine simmered in a solar cooker. This fairly sporty and lengthy hike allows you to meet beautiful people and admire sumptuous, divers landscapes... Enjoy a nice encounter with a French speaking Berber family.
Inclusions: Meal with a Moroccan family speaking French., Private transportation
Exclusions: Please bring at least 1 liter of bottled water per person.
Under the guidance of Naiima who really knew her subject matter well, we spent a highly enjoyable few hours walking round an Argan tree forest (where we actually saw goats climbing up Argan trees which was not staged). The tour also included visiting the tomb of an ancient holy man, the ruins of a seventeenth century sugar refinery, a visit to an Argan oil co-operative and, best of all, a visit to a Berber lady's house where we drank mint tea and ate home-baked bread. We loved every minute of it, not least because Naiima made it interesting. Highly recommended!
