Aswan is more idyllic than other cities in Egypt—located in southern Egypt, it’s a great place to explore that country’s epic history far away from the chaos of Cairo. Take a traditional wooden felucca around Elephantine Island and explore the ruins of the Temple of Khnum. We just came back from 7 day trip in Egypt and used Egypt Tour Portal. This was over a year in the making since the pandemic had put a stop on our trip. But we were able to finally go end of April 2021. I will be honest there were so road blocks with the planning of the trip and I know there were a lot of changes. I do have to say that towards the end of the planning of the trip the tour company, and Mohamad Zayed weren't willing to be as flexible as I would have hoped for. Furthermore, on the domestic flights that the company booked for us, they failed to check us in and communicating with tour guides that our flights had changed times. For example our flight departure from Aswan had changed by a few hours. Our tour guide didn't know and we got to the airport way early before the airport even opened. I asked the airline when the change was made and they said 2 days prior. This was extremely frustrating. Thus why my rating is a 4 and not a 5. I do appreciate their help in willing to accommodate us in the airport hotel in Cairo. Nonetheless, our tour guide, Omar Haridi in Luxor in Aswan made it worth it. Thank you Omar for all your help! You made our trip extra special with me and my husband awesome souvenir! I do recommend him for any of your Egypt travels. Thanks guys.

Took a private transfer from Luxor to Hurghada. Driver was right in time and very nice/polite. We had no issues at all going through the check points. The driver stopped about halfway for a bathroom/snack break. Trip was very easy and took about 3.5 hours. Would definitely book with them again!

We booked this trip with the Egypt Tours company and it turns out we paid too much since St. Catherine monastery is closed because of the COVID virus, but we still paid for it. I would suggest going with other companies that only climb up Mt. Sinai and save money. There were 5 different vans from different tour companies going from Sharm El Sheikh to St. Catherine at the same time our van was and we encountered these vans at the St. Catherine gift shop before beginning the climb up Mt. Sinai. The tour company gave every a small flashlight so we can see the path in the dark, and they turned us over to a guide who brought the group up the mountain path. There are frequent stops along the way, but our guide liked to drink coffee at every stop so we ended up waiting for him to finish coffee at every stop. At the top of the stair section, there are several coffee stands and you can also buy souvenirs. If you feel cold, you can also rent a big blanket for $3 USD, but I didn't need it because I went in May and it was not too cold. I also brought sweat pants and jacket, so I was not too cold at the top. After you reach the last coffee shops, you are on your own and the guide is not involved, so you can go to the mosque at the top to see the sunrise when you want. I think it's best to wait for first light, before sunrise to go to the very top, not when it is still too dark to see the stairs. I and several other people found a spot on a rock to see the sunrise and it was just like in a movie. Very special experience at a very important places in biblical history. After the sun became too bright to view and began to feel hot, we all walked down the trail on our own to St. Catherine, but this turned out to be the hazardous part of the trip. One of the women in our group slipped and hurt her ankle while going down the stair part of the trail and limped the rest of the way down. We waited for the tour operator to show up at St. Catherine, since it doesn't open early, and the only thing available was the gift shop. The church was closed because of COVID, so we returned to Sharm El Sheikh with only half of the trip done.

Truly Egypt was Truly Awful. The owner, Mac, was like an automaton in our group greeting. He didn't even let us introduce ourselves to one another until I asked him to do so. He was about 2 minutes into his spiel when already he was talking about the importance of tips. At the end he said he'd be available to us via call phone 24/7. I subsequently called him twice and got no reply. Our guide Ayman knew little and could care less. He pushed us constantly for more money in tips. Speaking of money, my brochure and that of another party mentioned nothing about all the museum and temple fees we had to pay for even though these stops were part of the standard tour - not an extra. However, Mac showed us on his cell phone that the disclaimer was in the brochure and subsequently when I went to check, there it was. Magic! Without any warning they switched my schedule so I had to get up at 3:30 in the morning two mornings in a row instead of the original schedule in which I had a normal waking day in between. The only reason I'm not giving it a one star rating is b/c I had a good time with my fellow group members and the cruise on the Nile was nice. But we could have gotten so much more out of the temple visits; sometimes I listened in to another guide for info. I haven't even told you about how they cashed my tour payment and then told me I owed them hundreds more for a single supplement which the brochure explicitly said they didn't charge. (One of the reasons I chose them) Mac was unrelenting until I complained to TourRadar who then put pressure on Truly Egypt to let me on the tour without the single supplement. I should have known then that they'd be horrible. Again at the end of the trip they were not going to refund money for the cancelled Hot Air Balloon ride until I complained to TourRadar. DO NOT BOOK WITH TRULY EGYPT

A full day to the best sites in Luxor organised for us by Ramasside tours. They did what the cruise company could not enabling us to see the sites on both East and West Bank and they made the day the most memorable experience. There were 4 adults with our own guide, Mahmoud and driver Ahmed. Mahmoud was a brilliant guide, knowledgable and full of humour - and he helped me bargain in an alabaster outlet. The trip included a surprise crossing of Nile from East to West Bank and a great Egyptian lunch. I can’t recommend Ramasside highly enough. They responded promptly to my e mails when I was arranging the trip and were at the dock in Safaga as promised when the ship docked at 7:30 am. They were cheaper than the cruise ship tour and included more.
