The 10 Best Visitor Centers in Okanagan Valley, Okanagan Valley

July 31, 2021 Nobuko Falco

The Okanagan Valley, in the interior of British Columbia, is a popular Canadian vacation destination known for skiing in the winter and watersports in the summer. The area's quaint towns and lush vineyards are connected by a network of clear blue lakes and rivers and surrounded by rolling, sun-dappled hills. Head to Kelowna for one of several wine festivals or to Penticton for the sugary summer Peach Festival. To the south is Osoyoos, home to an arid desert filled with rare plants and animals.

We stopped by the visitor center on our RV stay in Peachland and were so delighted by the overwhelming kindness of Susan. She gave us a lot of information about little Peachland, the bats in the attic and helped us with planning our further travel itinerary towards Hope, so we could take a much more scenic route than initially planned. Seldom have we experienced such a warm and passionate service! Definitely need to go there again, if we happen to be in Okanagan valley again one day. The little art gallery in the rear of the building is also worth a visit!

An older gentleman (I think from Edmonton, but didn't catch his name) was very helpful with wine suggestions in East Kelowna (Vibrant Winery) and Myra Canyon. Two others - male and female in the office were also very helpful with brewery suggestions and all around, all 3 associates were perfect ambassadors to the region! Cheers, Steve & Robyn from Whistler.
