My husband visited the tourist office and found the staff extremely helpful, excellent mastery of English and helped us find the Dinkelsbauer statue that stood in the Dinkelsbauerbrunnen (fountain) in front of St. George's Church into the early 20th century. It was featured in many old photos and etchings of the city but the fountain was removed and the statue inside it was placed in a city park. We grew up with an etching of Deutsches Haus with the fountain in the foreground so wanted to see the statue. The tourist office gave perfect directions and we were delighted to see the "old farmer" in the park and took many photos of it. It was a delight and on prior visits we did not know it had survived the fountain removal so were very excited to see it.

Our real motivation to visit was to use a restroom. The toilets are accessed on the side of the building, not in the main information part. I asked a question where the 'red men' statue was and they gave me good instructions.
