At the foot of the Swiss Alps lies Valais, "the valley." This fabled region is a year-round favorite, with spectacular skiing in the winter and superb hiking in summer. The Matterhorn, the Great St. Bernard Pass and Zermatt are the stars of the area, but glaciers, lakes, mountain paths, castle-churches and a wealth of resorts also beckon. Visit L'Hospice du Grand St. Bernard to see the animals who helped the monks rescue travelers or the Fondation Pierre Gianadda, Roman ruins that now house modern art.

Sunday or Saturday is my training day. Last Saturday we ve visited Evolene and decided to walk, so my Saturday walk began în Evolene and ended close to the Barrage of Grande Dixence, a 3 hours walk în The mountains, with a spectacular view over Cervin and Damme Blanche Mountains, and a Quick Lunch at their restaurant just where the cable car ends. I will be Honest and tell you that the cable car takes about 20-25 minutes to reach the Restaurant, it is a bit ancient, but the way up is beautiful, quiet and offers a nice view over the Mountains. The walk in The Mountains îs everything i ve needed after this "isolation" period, and the 3 hours were a delight (i ve posted the Photos!). During my morning walk i ve listened to a mix of Kool, it was on my i pod since months, and the beat matched perfectly with my tempo: Kool-Lovestory februarie 2020. When we got home Ewa the Cat was waiting for us, unpatient and hungry(i ll attach a Photo).
