A smorgasbord of flavors come from this lofty land in the hilly southeast of Belgium: game, wild boar, venison, smoked ham, the region's famous paté and world-renowned Trappist beers. Primarily located in Belgium, the Ardennes mountains also nudge into France and Luxembourg. Dense forests flank the steep hillsides, and market towns and villages perch on river banks. Spring and summer show this lush area at its best, but cross country skiing opportunities make a good case for winter visits.

We stayed here as a 'young' couple on a weekend in the country. This B&B is modern and a bit in the middle of nowhere (which was kind of the point), BUT that means it is nice and quiet and you wake up with the mooing of the cows, which is a nice experience. You need a car to get to and from this place though, but if you do distance to Durbuy etc was not a problem. Clean, comfortable room with lovely view. Very nice owners - helpful and informative + made us a great breakfast.

In a peaceful setting, not far from Charleroi, Namur, Philippeville, Dinant or France, lies the Laneffe fortified farm. This property, which is still a working agricultural holding, has been converted and transformed to provide gîtes and guest rooms at the very heart of the farm. The building also has three rooms that are available when organising banquets for private functions (weddings, communions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) and professional events (corporate meetings, business meals, etc.). The Laneffe fortified farm organises team-building days for companies.
Worst experience ever, on top of it on Christmas Eve. We booked our room far in advance to spend Christmas with our family in Belgium, and had to pay in advance which we did with no problem . When we booked we asked if it was OK to bring our dog (a Bobtail) and explained that it was a big dog that has been in Hotels and Restaurants since he was a puppy, and the owner Mrs Danielle said no problem, she has a dog herself and loves animals. When we arrived, the place was closed, we patiently waited for a long time, even if there was a sign stating that it was already supposed to be open, so after a long wait I decide to call the number of Mrs Danielle, there where already 3 families to check in. When she arrived, with out saying hello, she said THE DOG CAN’T COME IN… so my family and I where very surprised, everything was pre agreed, pre arranged and pre paid… After a “trying to be” constructive dialog, she said she wouldn’t give us back our more than 500 EUR prepayment but we could stay with out our dog (family) but she could put him in a cage… outrageous for any animal lovers out there. So, the only thing I can recommend, is never go there, she agrees to take your money but actually hates animals.

Very nice flat closed to the center of Liege. Wel situated for visiting the center of Liege but others towns like Maastricht - Brussels - Anvers - Aachen... Flat the three rooms with each his bathroom, tv, connexion, ...

3 and 4 person suites with private bathroom and all comfort and original furnishings.A fully renovated Villa against the Hertogenwald and 500 meters from Eupen. Luxurious beds and refined decor. Personal and pleasant atmosphere, large terrace in the middle of the green.
Mooie ruime kamer.

Ok stay (one night as a couple). Room is basic. No soap, no shower gel. Cleaning as well. Home-style breakfast, but not impressive. Quiet place (some roosters singing in the morning). A little bit out of the main roads.

See why so many travelers make La Bushaye their bed and breakfast of choice when visiting Aubel. Providing an ideal mix of value, comfort and convenience, it offers a romantic setting with an array of amenities designed for travelers like you. Free wifi is offered to guests, and rooms at La Bushaye offer a flat screen TV, a refrigerator, and a kitchenette. For travelers arriving by car, free parking is available. While you’re here, be sure to check out La Scala, one of the Mediterranean restaurants that can be found in Aubel, which is a short distance from La Bushaye. Plus, during your trip, don't forget to check out a historic site, such as Val-Dieu Abbey. At La Bushaye, your comfort and satisfaction come first, and they look forward to welcoming you to Aubel.
La Bushaye is the kind of place where you can get your breakfast in the backyard listening to birds and surrounding church's bells. While the kids are playing safely in the playground or the neighbouring green fields. The place (1st floor appartment) is largely big enough for 15 people, clean and fully equipped. Each bedroom is connected to its own bathroom. The hosts lives in the very same place (a private part of the house) and are native from the area. They're well aware of the event and activities in the region and we got piece of pretty good advice for our time in the area. Definitely a piecefull and relaxing place for a weekend with the family.

We stayed in a studio for three nights to go to the Grand Prix. The price was ridiculous but hotels rooms were in demand so they ramped up the price. I could have forgiven them that if the accommodation hadn't been so grim. It was clean and the beds comfortable, but it was damp and musty, dark and cold. The fridge didn't work (although management insisted it did but it wasn't very pleasant anyway!), and we didn't have cable TV. Not sure why we had a microwave as there was no plates or cutlery, so it was of no use. No waste bin, no tissues, no bottled water. Hard towels. Minimal toiletries. Just the two coathangers. Room very basic. You get the idea. See the photos. At breakfast the bowls and spoons had run out. We had to ask for some. Then we realised that the cereal and orange juice had also run out. A toaster, but no bread. No one came to check to see if everything was OK or to refill dishes. Very little service at all. Just get it yourself. I would not recommend it.

L'Oree de Bomal is a domain with six luxury houses. Two of these houses admit 8 people, two of them 14 people and two houses have 15 sleeping-places. Each house is equipped with a spacious modern kitchen with new appliances. Moreover there's a sauna and other wellness available. L'Oree de Bomal is situated at the outskirts of Bomal-sur-Ourthe, known for its big Sunday market but also for its beautiful surroundings which have something to offer to everyone.
