This property is absolutely amazing. We stayed in the 5300 building which we understand was recently updated. The room was beautifully furnished. The kitchen had all the supplies that we needed. It was just a wonderful experience. Every staff person was pleasant. We had to call maintenance due to an issue with the dryer. They responded quickly and fixed the problem. Everyone was so helpful. Our children, 17 and 12, enjoyed the amenities on the property. We played shuffleboard, corn hole, air hockey, horse shoes, ping pong, and basketball. My only complaint is that we could not get the basketball goal to 10ft. The indoor pool was great. Many times during our stay, we had it to ourselves. Both outdoor pools were great as well. They have a gym that isn’t equipped but the experienced body builder but was just fine for me. The property is beautiful. Hammocks and swings are located throughout the property along with grills. There is an outdoor play area for smaller kids. If there is any doubt about staying here, let there be none. It was a wonderful experience. We had one of the best vacations because the property offered so much that kept us moving and having fun. We miss it already!

Disgustingly dirty, ripped and broken furniture, toilet plugs constantly, gross rusted refrigerator, broken toaster, no pots and pans, sliding door is extremely hard to open and it only opens part way. Torn wallpaper. There were 4 of us (in our 60’s) sharing this 2 bedroom condo on a golf trip. We had to take turns sitting on the dining table bench. The two dining chairs were wobbly and we doubted they would support any weight. The leather … scratch that….. the best way to put it…. The unit looks like it was furnished using items collected from the curb or a dump. Disgusting. The one out of 5 rating is a mistake….it should be a zero. Stay away.

We booked 5 condos at this resort and apart from 1 the others were all run down properties. It’s so pot luck which one you get. The kitchens were all poorly stocked. A basic thing like a frying pan was not available in 3 out of the 5 we had booked. We had read some disturbing reviews just before we were leaving the uk but were convinced things would be looked after for us. Maid service is a joke. 2 ladies came in during our stay and we’re ready to leave within 15 mins. We had to ask for the floors to be vacuumed and mopped. This was done once they were generously tipped. All 20 of us agreed this would not be in our list of places to stay at when we visit MB again.

DO NOT stay here. I have stayed in many types of hotels and I don't mind budget hotels and the challenges they have. This hotel is absolutely filthy. There are cockroaches everywhere. The smell of pot and cigarettes is smothering. Had to take a cold shower as there was no hot water(it was fixed by the evening) stove barely works, won't heat on high at all, and barely hot on medium. If you don't mind these things this place is for you. Price is nice but buyer beware.

Great location in Hilton Head. Close to beach, bike paths. Resort is spacious and well maintained. Unit size was good. Beds not very comfortable, one of the twin beds you could feel the springs. Would love to go back when weather is warmer.

Mepkin Abbey is a Trappist monastery featuring beautiful peaceful gardens set along the Cooper river. Much better than the far more famous, and accessible, gardens at Middleton Place on the neighboring Ashley river.

Lake Marion Golf Villas features 24 recently updated villas and 10 new townhouses, with 2 bedrooms/4 full beds, 2 bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor patio, in-unit washer/dryer or access to a shared laundry facility, and shared charcoal grilling station. Located along the fairways of Lake Marion Golf Course and within walking distance of lighted driving range. Rates are quad occupancy.
Four of us decided on our first southern golf trip. It will be difficult to find a better set up than the package we got here at Lake Marion. Five days of golf at five different course, hot breakfast everyday and two dinners (bbq and pasta). We chose a townhouse backing onto the first hole. Lots of room for the four of us, full kitchen, bbq, 18 hole putting green and the staff led by Laura are outstanding and very accommodating. The town of Santee doesn’t have much going on but there restaurants, take out, grocers etc all close by and the town is right on I95. All five courses are nearby and we played more than 18 each day for $10 extra. We also went to Charleston SC for a change of pace and dinner. A lovely historic city.

We stayed in Unit 379 which was perfect for my husband who was using a walker. The condo is small but perfect for two people. The kitchen is compact but having the dishwasher was a huge help. I was able to drive my husband to the end of the parking lot to the beginning of the boardwalk. The beach was beautiful and wide. The condo was clean and there were no maintenance issues. Please note that due to Covid the gym, hot tub and indoor pool are not available.
