Very comfortable, beautifully furnished and well run address. Breakfast was copious and delightfully presented and the one meal we had was not fancy but excellent with fresh ingredients. It was difficult to find something one wanted that wasn't available -except a better internet connection. Thank you again Mme Hofstetter

3 nice rooms. One of them has a spectacular shower...... the landlady offers you the warmest and natural wellcome. She seems to enjoy every moment of your stay. You can ask her anything, but let her guide you to her favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. One night's too short a stay.

Product : Good house obviously modern with good quality appliances in kitchen. Ideal location to explore the region, St Jean, Basque villages, Hendaye and San Sebastián. Ver hot when we were there but house was cool, good for ourselves and 2 dogs. The place is dog friendly but no obvious dog walks close by. We may have been 1st users of the house this season as we found a few cobwebs but the house was generally clean. The outside had bird mess on the patio and furniture which we had to clean and garden looked like it could do with some tlc. The rep Pascale was good and helpful. Overall was good for the price we paid but I would be very disappointed if I had the same house at the high season price of £2400 per week.

Set in superb and verdant grounds at the foot of the Pyrenees, the Chateau D'Orion offers a peaceful backdrop for a relaxing holiday and charming accommodation. The renovated rooms at the Chateau offer spacious and elegant living spaces, and modern comforts whilst retaining their original, period charm. They are all equipped with fully fitted en suite facilities. Concerts are regularly held in the large lounge. The smaller lounge, fully equipped for your meetings and a rustic room with a large, open fireplace are available upon request.
My Husband and I booked last minute to stay here after a recommendation. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful with brilliant French, German, English. We ate locally on our first night in an Auberge booked by Tobias which was wonderful and very busy for a Thursday night, and on the second night the family cooked a wonderful meal for us. Breakfasts were perfect eaten outside with the Pyrenees in the background and English country estate type scenery in the foreground. The rooms were all unique and modernised to a high standard. We loved the one single duvets each as that is what we have at home as I'm a duvet thief! Highly recommend.

Deciced to do the Camino this year and stayed at this albergue when I arrived in St. Jean. Decided not to go for a shared room (for COVID reasons but also because I like my privacy). Lidya contacted me in advance and informed me where to find my room and if there were any other questions, so that made me feel already welcome. Room of course was on the basic side, but that is what I expected. Showers are very good and clean and the owners also take care that things stay clean. Stairs (had my room on the second floor) are a bit narrow and also a bit slippery which almost led me to have a bad accident. Even though the albergue is next to a main road at night it was fairly quiet, so that was also o.k. My only complaint would be that it took me some time to find the only wallsocket in my room, but apart from that I can only recommend this place. Had fun staying there and the owners really try hard to make you feel at home.

The actual location of the villa was quiet and private although the general area was not very salubrious. The local beach is a surfers' paradise and the local camping site dominated the vicinity and made it seem a bit tacky. The villa itself was spacious and appeared to be well maintained. We had a ground floor room which was a good size plus a large bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable and the linens of a high standard. It was clean but level of cleanliness could have been improved. The large communal area was good and the breakfast we had was acceptable. Being low season there was one other couple in an upstairs room and we saw them leaving in the evening and did not encounter then again before we departed so we had the place to ourselves which was a bonus. The host, Philippe, was chatty and helpful when he served us breakfast. Wifi was good. There was a sea view but as the weather was not great we did not use the outside swimming pool or patio. It would be ideal for a family to rent the entire family for a holiday. Four bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms plus a large living space and outside seating area and pool would be good. Wifi was good. We had a good meal at the local restaurant. The cost was possibly a bit high for the seasonal norm but the accommodations was fine for our purpose. Ideal for a large family wishing to rent a property with private pool near the sea.
