Nomadic tribal heritage and modern society co-exist in the UAE, a federation of seven emirates at the southeastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula. Look beyond the desert that consumes four-fifths of its area and you'll find UAE capital Abu Dhabi, an oil-rich city of skyscrapers, parks and malls, and Dubai, with its split personality of luxury resorts and covered marketplaces, upscale boutiques and local artisans. For a break from urban sprawl, journey over rolling red sand dunes into the Hatta Mountains, where the 200-year-old Sharia Mosque sits amid 30 restored buildings of sandalwood and mud.

I went to SPS at La Mer on 16th December to update mobile number of my friend. It's a very nice and quiet place. No police there. Everything can be done by us easily just like using ATM. Good initiative and enjoyed very well.

Manarat Al Saadiyat is the first art and culture centre of the Saadiyat Cultural District, the future home of Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Meaning "Place of Enlightenment" in Arabic, Manarat Al Saadiyat offers a wide variety of exhibitions, performances, productions, conferences, talks and workshops throughout the day and all year-round. From the Manarat Al Saadiyat plaza visitors can admire the Norman Foster-designed UAE Pavilion, home to Abu Dhabi Art, which takes place every November. At Manarat Al Saadiyat visitors can also enjoy a gift shop and FANR restaurant.
I LOVE this space. I have been here for art shows, exhibits and movie screenings. Manarat al Saadiyat is a gorgeous exhibition space on Saadiyat Island complete with a lush green outdoor eatery that allows for a leisurely and delicious meal. It's an expansive space that showcases a great deal of local/historical work and artists. One of the things I appreciate most is the location. It is outside of the city and therefore has a very relaxed vibe. From here you can hop over to the Louvre as well (via taxi) to continue to get your arts and culture fix. This is a fantastic venue.

this place is so big, it is very well organized. the staff are very friendly and eager to answer questions and point to the right directions. expos are set up differently. I was here for the sharjah book fair and I must say I was so happy I was able to attend and see the way everything was so organized. I would definitely recommend it, if you are in the area and there is any type of expo here please attend. you will definitely enjoy it. also a good way to see the local people do what they do best and what they enjoy.
