This was a worthwhile stop as we learned a lot more about Pebble Beach Golf Links in a very well designed visitor center. Entrance was monitored to ensure that we were all wearing masks and used hand sanitizers before we entered. Our greeter cheerfully gave a quick overview of the center. The displays about the evolution of Pebble Beach and the amateur and US Opens, golfing legends, trophies and Clint Eastwood were well thought out, informative and worth spending time reading and learning. A short video played on the central wall and also a good watch. After we finished here we walked over to see the gift shop where they sold the typical higher end souvenirs and some drinks and snacks. Bathrooms were located here and were very clean and social distancing enforced by physical closed urinals and sinks. A small patio overlooking the 17 mile drive held tables and chairs and were full of visitors eating or drinking. Well worth the visit.

We had to conduct some work-related business whilst on vacation and the very kind folks at the PG Public Library allowed us to take care of things without restrictive rules of usage. Pacific Grove is a laid back place that treats visitors like family and the library is no exception. We thoroughly enjoyed the sincere welcome wherever we went.

The Center is wall-to-wall highlights of local attractions complete with a small-scale representation of Pinnacles National Park, Spanish arches inset with information on local California missions, photographs depicting the Valley’s agricultural history, a tour map to local wineries and, since it’s in the heart of Steinbeck Country, details on literary giant John Steinbeck.
