Clear summers day gives an amazing view along the Elbe both ways all the way to Saxon Switzerland and Dresden the other way. We walked out to Loschwitz along the river and a very pleasant walk it is too (special mention to the ice cream lady on the edge of Dresden who helped us along with an ice). Its an interesting architectural piece and, with a cafe / bar at the top a rewarding one. Time out to sip a beer on a hot day and enjoy the view. Loschwitz is a nice little village / suburb worth mooching around.

Wonderful journey by tram up the Kirnitsch valley. There are hotels and restaurants at the end and it is an excellent jumping off point for walks, especially to the Kuhstall.
