The state is divided into two divisions, Garhwal and Kumaon, with a total of 13 districts. The interim capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradun, the largest city of the state, which is a railhead. I did a total of 10 Hindi lessons with Pushpa and she was very accommodating to ensure that I was able to complete them all in the little time I had remaining in India which reinforces her very flexible schedule. I had no previous Hindi experience yet Pushpa made the lessons interesting and fun whilst ensuring I was getting the most out of each lesson. The lessons were a combination of grammar and conversational. You can tell her heart is in it and wants all of her students to succeed. A great teacher and caring friend.

He was a delightful companion through the trip and had so many great stories and information to share.

At a height of 3300 meters, it’s neither too high and nor too low. Vast grasslands pimpled with small lakes give this place a beauty of its own. Initially we did an incredible Sound healing session with Abi. A wonderfully warm & generous young man. He has great knowledge & insight. It was a truly memorial experience. We then decided to book a one day trek which his business partner Sunny took us on. Just my friend & myself & Sunny! Sadly we had time only for a day trek. It was a fantastically authentic experience & Sunny took us to the home of his Auntie for chai & later for lunch. How privileged we felt! We had some lovely interesting conversations with Sunny. We wish both these young men every success in continuing their business.

This rafting stretch usually takes about 2 hours to finish. It has about 7 rapids including both small and big ones. Some of the good rapids we run on this stretch are Roller coaster (III+), golf Course (III+), and Club house (III). These rapids are safe to raft though there are some big waves and hydraulics. It takes about 30 minutes to one hour to drive to the starting point and then about 30 minutes for the preparation, inflating rafts and safety briefing. Once safety briefing is done, we get on the rafts. It is 2 hours fun on the river with some good splashes and big hits. We finish our rafting trip just before Laxman Jhula and then from there it is a 5 minutes drive back to Red Chilli Adventure office.
Inclusions: Raft, life jacket, paddle and helmet, Private transportation, All Fees and Taxes
Exclusions: Any Meal, drinking water and expenses of personal nature
It was a fun filled adventure and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We did a 26 km rafting from Marine Drive and our guide Dev was extremely talented and patient who guided us well and provided good sound bytes through out the ride. I would highly recommend Red Chilli Adventure as the rafts seemed to be very safe and hygienic as well.

Top Tibba Day Hike is simply one of the best day hikes around Mussoorie if done via proper trails. Top Tibba(peak) is approx. 8,500 ft above sea level and is the highest peak around Mussoorie. Apart from offering some really spectacular views of the snow capped Himalayan peaks from the top, Top Tibba also presents you with great panaormic views of the entire valley below. The forest area around Top Tibba is abundant in leopards, black bears, red foxes, yellow throated jungle martins, kalij pheasants, barking deer, wild boars & more. But wildlife sighting is something that cannot be guaranteed but what we can guarantee you is a wonderful time on the trail observing and enjoying nature. Eagles, Kites, Buzzards and other birds of prey can be easily spotted here along with many other song birds. You won't want to miss it, when in Mussoorie.
Inclusions: All Fees and Taxes, First Aid Kit, Trek instructor
Exclusions: Transportation, Medical Insurance or such
Sincerely enjoyed my trail hike with Rohit to the near the top of Benog Top. The trails and scenery were beautiful and it was nice to be able to go at my own pace of choice. Was an overall laid back and enjoyable experience and not too stressful. Chai and conversation afterward was a nice reward! Would recommend to anyone interested in nature or hiking and in seeing a bit of Mussoorie that is off the beaten path.
