This was my first excursion post-covid. I wanted to do this so badly back in March but it closed down but I’ve finally made it. I did the afternoon tour in Dingli as the Valletta tour is not available on Sundays. Damian was the guide. Apart from a small accident (not me), everything went great. The tour takes you inside country lanes, with a lot of hills that require good control of the segway. Then, towards the end, you’ll go over the cliffs with some spectacular views. The segway is very easy to ride and they teach you anyway. Damian was excellent. Definitely worth doing it, especially outside of Valletta.

I could visit all the interest points in Malta starting from Traxien Temples, Blue Grotto, Hagar Qim and even Popeye Village. Irina was very helpful from the very beginning she made suggestions and customized the itinerary because I only had limited time during the day before my flight

The guided tour starts with a visit to one of Malta’s oldest quarries which has been transformed into an attraction for tourists and locals alike and which provides a vivid account of one of Malta’s leading skills – the use of limestone for building purposes, a skill that goes back thousands of years. The magic of Malta’s antiquity will be explained at Hagar Qim, Malta’s main pre-historic UNESCO site, overlooking the wide expanse of the blue Mediterranean and the islet of Filfa. From Hagar Qim you will proceed to Wied iz-Zurrieq where (weather permitting – boat price not included) you can take a boat trip to the Blue Grotto, renowned for its crystal clear waters. My husband and I went on this tour in November 2019. The tour guide said he was not a guide but a driver to take us to Game of Throne Sites. He gave us a amateurish booklet with rude pictures of Game of Throne scenes that were to correspond to the sites. We saw Fort St. Elmo from a distance because the driver said it was closed to the public, which we later learned was a lie. There were several other sites that we saw only from a distance. The booklet clearly showed Gozo as a site that we were supposed to visit, but the driver refused and took us to Popeye Village instead. We refused to go there as it would involve additional expense and was not a Game of Throne site. To add insult to injury, the driver took away the booklets that I had clearly paid for (that would at least have been a way to review the sites), stating that they were too expensive for us to keep. I did call and request a partial refund from Viator and was refused after presenting them with evidence of this rip-off. Please don't waste your money on this! I have lost a lot of respect for Trip Advisor based on this horrible experience.
