Our tour guide was informative (she also had interesting stories to tell about hell). Due to COVID-19 there was only a handful of us in the tour which was nice. It was a very relaxing tour. We were kind of underwhelmed by the size of the mountains, however, that is not the tours fault. If you have never been to these mountains and have time to spare, we would recommend going. However, there are better tours if you’re short with time.

We lived in Hoi An for few months and wanted to relocate to Ho Chi Minh City with our two Dogs. We already used some transportation service by Tommy Dao and we were absolutely satisfied. This is why we come up to Tommy Dao to help us with the relocation. Everything was quite smooth and easy. For the transportation to Ho Chi Minh City we had a private bus with two drivers. All the time we were totally relaxed and our dogs were feeling chilled. Thank you so much Tommy Dao ???? ????

Vincent took care of everything! It was a long ride from Hoi An to Sun World's Ba Na Hills amusement park but he made it fun and the minutes disappeared into thin air. Throughout the park, Vincent made sure to take my picture - which is very important for a solo traveler - and made sure that I did not miss one inch of that park. I was exhausted but happy and so glad that Vincent was my driver and guide. I could not have asked for a better one.
Ly Son Island in Quang Ngai Province, is a lovely little island that is a well-kept secret amongst locals, few foreigners know about it. Also known as, Cu Lao Re, this tiny island, which only covers an area of 10 square kilometers is thought to have been created from five extinct volcanoes during the prehistoric age. It’s famed in Vietnam for two quite different things; a unique type of garlic which it grows an abundance of and its stunning natural beauty including mountains, mysterious caves and stunning beaches. It also features many historical and cultural relics including temples and pagodas. A slow and peaceful pace of life further compliments the wild and unspoiled beauty of Ly Son Island.

Contacted the night before by email and message at front desk of hotel to confirm times & pick up.Picked up from our hotel at the time stated relatively new mini bus with air conditioning. Bus held 12 only 6 on tour. Cold water provided. Scenic drive out to My Son with the guide pointing relevant points of interest as we drove to site (about 90 mins). The site was empty on our arrival (just before Covid 19 hit a number of countries had already stopped their nationals travelling). The site is small but worth seeing. We had to take an electric bus up to the site from the car park I would have preferred to walk as it was less than a mile. The guide was very informative and answered any questions brought up by the group. We had nearly 2 hours walking around and then back on the bus to Hoi An. We asked to be dropped in the Old town not at our hotel which the driver and guide facilitated. We had considered renting a scooter and making our own way there but it is quite a considerable distance, the weather very hot, traffic intimidating and roads are not always hard surfaced. Worth the money

Hi dear travellers, I am 102 kg and 1,96 m and good trained . I had a " Vespa Tour " which means 2,5 driving to the City on the back of a scooter on a seat of 30x30 cm 5 cm thickness. Can ANYBODY tell me what is the fun of doing that ? I expected a trip through rice fields on your own Vespa with a guide. So if you expect the same BELIEVE ME : Don't take THSI Tour. It's really a joke. Halfway i told them to stop and bring me for the last 50 km just back to my Hotel by a taxi . It is WITH ALL RESPECT an absolute NO GO

What to say about this tour! To begin with it took less than 24 hours to realise that the activities our travel company had promised in the brochure did not match the activities listed by Stray. Although this was probably an advertising fault with our tour company (STA Travel - I HIGHLY recommend not booking with them) the Stray representative refused to assist us with the issue claiming he was not a ‘Stray representative’ even though he was literally wearing a Stray t-shirt! The Thailand leg of the trip is utterly pointless as you barely see any of the country, and there are basically no activities payed for by Stray so I really have no idea what we payed for. Laos was much improved, we had two different tour guides throughout our days there who were both brilliant and the activities were really good. We had a good sized group as well which helped! Cambodia however was by far the worst part of the trip. The perhaps main reason for this was our tour guide was extremely weird and made us all feel very uncomfortable. He made a lot of sexual jokes which weren’t funny, he would make inappropriate remarks and also get drunk and act very strangely around us all. There were only 3 of us for most of the Cambodia leg (all guys), however when some females did join, as you can imagine he made more uncomfortable remarks. Considering I’ve heard from other travellers that Cambodia is their favourite place they’ve traveled, I believe Stray did the country a huge disservice as the route round the country made no sense, we hardly got to see any of the beautiful country and spent almost half the tour at the same Hostel in Siem Reap with nothing to do. Also I’d heard so much about the delicious (and cheap) street food Cambodia offered however not once did we go to any such place and instead were pressured to go (by our guide) to places which were more costly and coincidently our guide would get a free meal for taking us there! The final leg of the tour was Vietnam which we didn’t get to go to as the borders had closed due to the pandemic. Although of course, this could not be helped, our Cambodian guide did not sufficiently keep us informed on what was going on and when we inevitably asked the question “now what?” we were never given a helpful answer, and were essentially abandoned once the Cambodia leg of the tour was over. Overall, the tour was mostly awful. Before this tour started, me and my friend who I was travelling with went on a Trutravels Sri Lanka tour which was absolutely brilliant. This was mostly down to our guide who I felt really wanted to show us the best parts of his country and give us the best time possible and wasn’t trying to squeeze as much money from us as he could. This was similar to the Laos part of the tour, in which I truly felt the tour guides wanted us to have a great time (an example was one of them set up a football game for us to play against the locals which was amazing). However this trip was wildly inconsistent as the Thailand leg was utterly pointless, and the Cambodia leg was uncomfortable and massively underwhelming. And of course the part that will leave a bitter taste in my mouth will be how we were essentially left stranded in Cambodia without any real help or advice from Stray. Considering we payed for the most expensive package, I truly have no idea what that money went towards for most of the trip, particularly some of the accommodation. I don’t recommend stray at all.

We hired Andy to take us from Da Nang to Ba Na hills. He arrived on time and was super friendly and gave us some history of Vietnam on the way there. He organised all the tickets beforehand to avoid the cues which made life a lot easier! When we were ready to come home we sent him a message and he was there immediately. Would definitely recommend Andy to anyone wanting a smooth process to Ba Ba Hills :)
