I went to this park via a Trip Advisor recommendation. Crowded it is NOT! Perhaps it was the time of year-April. Headed to the park via some local motorcycle guys we paid $5 Cdn. Signed up immediately for zip lining! Seriously wonderful. I have zip lined lots-including Whistler BC-and this was just perfect. Although things seemed a little questionable, I never felt safety was ever compromised. After zipping-we hiked the entire park loop. Lots of foliage but few animals-it was mid afternoon. Back at the lodge-had an awesome meal-just 2 choices-for around $6. The camping area was also remarkable in that it was cheap and had wonderful shower and washroom facilities. Met a couple from New York who were driving around-and they felt it was the best valued campground so far! I stayed in a cabin. 5 star in my opinion-no pool, but wonderful. Think it was only $50 for the night. The only downside for some is, everyone went home at night. You are literally by yourself in the middle of a huge park alone! Maybe in higher toutist season it would not be so. I did not feel the least bit concerned and wandered the property at midnight to check out the stars! Pass on the horse riding-

This was a great way to relieve our designated driver for a day and so glad we opted for this tour. A lovely little hike to see Pacaya Volcano close-up, we were the first party to ascend that day and glimpsed some lava. The views from the top were well worth it and taking El Arenal route on the descent was an adventure. After the hike, the Kawilal Spa was just the ticket! We even had the whole area to ourselves due to the pandemic, so all felt very safe. The smoothie and lunch there were also very delicious. Could have done with a tad more direction at times, but all part of the fun!

Elmer was without question the best tour guide I have ever had for a tour of ancient ruins. I have been to Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat and several other sites around the world with guides but Elmers knowledge of Tikal surpassed them all. His English is incredible too, being very easy to understand. If you are touring Tikal I highly recommend his services.

It was one of the most important Mayan cities in the late preclassic which is characterized by its monumentality when built, this can be clearly seen in one of the pyramids of the site and the largest in the Mayan civilization, the great Pyramid "La Danta" surrounded by a green sea of dense and virgin forest at the four cardinal points. Our Nun Bak Trek to the Mirador is 5 to 6 days to visit Tintal, La Muerta, La Florida, Wakná, Nakbé and one of the most important and well-known cities in the history of the great Mayan civilization, El Mirador. We will walk in the middle of the Jungle for 6 to 9 hours a day along a path mostly without heights or mountains since we are at 180 meters above sea level, a trek suitable for all audiences with resistance to walking more than 10 kilometers a day at a moderate pace. In this experience we have the opportunity to see diversity in flora and fauna of our country Guatemala, Mayan cities lost and devoured by the dense jungle of Petén
