A great experience one can encounter while exhilarating the beautiful surroundings of Namibia’s dunes. This is the most popular tours, where you will ride for your life on the dunes for an hour and explore the different plants and animals in the Namib Desert, another hour you will be sandboarding and the last hour you quad back. Quad Biking is the best way to see what Swakopmund sand dunes has to offer even at the most unreachable places where a 4x4 can’t reach. This is one of the best adventure experience.

An early start and a drive to the base of Pelican Point Kayaking. We met our guide and the rest of our group there. The drive to beach includes a drive through the salt pans and our guide gave us some background on the area. The pans are beautiful and were one of the reasons we chose Namibia as a holiday destination. We brought waterproof jackets with us as advised and you’ll be glad you did as you will get a little wet out there. You’ll get changed into some waterproofs and be given a life vest. I’m not the happiest of people on or in the water but the whole setup is designed to make you feel relaxed and excited about getting onto the water. When you are out there the seals are super friendly and inquisitive. They’ll come over for a closer look and a bite of your paddle! You’ll spend an hour or so on the water and then come back to land for a bite to eat. Seeing all the seals together on the beach is pretty cool and looks very much like the documentaries you might watch. On the drive back to the base loads of animals were pointed out to us and we drove a little off road to get a closer look at some of them. Fantastic first morning of our trip and I’m so glad that we did it!

Evert picked my wife and me up at our accomodation. As we had no coffee he took us to the harbour to enjoy the place, the conversation with Evert and the first coffee in the morning. The tour was awesome. We drove past salt pans, saw flamingos, enjoyed the beautiful colours. Evert is an experienced driver and we felt safe up and down the dunes. We could get the full experience and see the amazing views. We stopped for a lovely picnic t Sandwich Harbour (prepared by Evert and his wife) before heading back on a different route. We can absolutely recommend this tour, especially with Evert.
