We traveled to Brazil on a Wim during these unfortunate times and everything was planned last minute. Our hotel set this tour up for us and we just expected to go see Christ and sugar loaf. However, due to the ongoing situation and the weather it ended up being only us two on this tour. I have been on many tours around the world, never a private tour though. This was beyond expectation. I was planning on renting a car and driving around, but no need as we got all of that out of the way with our tour guides. Wanderlei was absolutely amazing and should I say had much knowledge about the history of Rio which was very interesting. Driving around yourself you wouldn’t know half the things you passed by, but Wanderlei made sure to point out everything! Wanderlei aka Luis, spoke English very well and was an amazing photographer. He was so kind to take soooo many pictures everywhere we stopped. I’m not sure they could have sent us a better tour guide! Also, Marco the driver was absolutely amazing! Just so accommodating! Never made us wait, ALWAYS opened the doors for us, carried an umbrella when it rained, and lastly was very kind and always ensuring we were enjoying our time. I could go on and on but I think I have made my point. If you could, get a private tour, you won’t regret it! By far the best tour experience I have had. After all, it’s not always about the places you go see, it’s also about the company your with that makes it much more enjoyable. B&L

If you are looking for a tour guide who will treat you like family, has impeccable attention to detail and will make your trip memorable, look no further! Alvaro was an amazing host for our final days in Rio. He was punctual, friendly and thoughtful down to the most tiny details of our tours. We started out with a tour to Telegrafo, which was an amazing adventure in and of itself, and liked him so much, we added another tour the following day. He is knowledgeable about the region, speaks multiple languages and truly cares about his guests from start to finish. The photos and videos are an added bonus. The communication from start to finish was amazing!

I booked the tour of Isla da Gigoia and it was so fulfilling. I toured the area when there were not many tourists in Rio so I got the most authentic experience. My tour guide was Gabriella and she was very knowledgable about not only Rio de Janeiro but Brazil in general. On the way to the island there were many beautiful sights and she taught me a lot of history about the many hills, favelas, tunnels, artwork, and geography. The island tour itself was breathtaking, I can definitely see myself visiting again! We caught sight of many exotic birds and a very chill alligator. She took me to her home island where I toured the quaint neighborhoods and had some authentic Brazilian cuisine at Ihla Gourmet. The acai was tasty too! I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants a literal off road, local experience.
