Marco was a very knowledgable, attentive and flexible guide. The day was full of several different interesting and picturesque activities. The flat bike ride through the countryside and past different views of the windmills was beautiful and peaceful. Totally untouristy compared to what we hear and see about windmill town closer to Amsterdam. This one is SO worth the 40 min train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam. Lots of good photo opps. There were bonuses seeing baby ducks, many pretty birds, grazing cows, sheep and horses. We enjoyed the snack stop at the little tea shop in a mini-windmill-shaped building out in the countryside. Learned a lot from the museum about the need for the canal system and how the windmills work. The canal cruise past tho windmills was relaxing and gave another vantage point. Thank you for a smooth, memorable day!

I was looking for an off the beaten path tour and came across Tulip Day Tours. From the moment I made the tour reservation, I just have to say that the service was awesome. The Dutch weather is unpredictable, and Marloes would email me few days beforehand informing me about the upcoming weather forecast and leave it to me to decide whether to proceed/postpone/cancel the trip as she wanted me to have the best experience on the island. We finally made it after 3 postponements (my choice) and boy, what an awesome trip! Corona measures were in place from the moment I was picked up - I got my temperature checked, hand sanitized and the mini van was installed with screens. Marloes also prepared a breakfast bag which I enjoyed on the way to the ferry. It was my first time on an e-bike and it is seriously the best way to explore the island. With Marloes guiding, I cycled through meadows with grazing sheep and cows, along the island coast and in the forest. We made pitstops in cute little villages and I also had a delicious pancake with local cheese and beer. Marloes would tell me fun facts about the island and also little things that might go unnoticed for visitors in the Netherlands. I had a great time on the island with Marloes. I rank this trip high on my travel experience. Truly I was so happy with the trip I did not hesitate to book their Giethoorn and Kayaking trip!

We travelled by train to Amsterdam and only saw one windmill - went past too quickly to get a photo. Zaanse Sch.. is a site where working windmills and other traditional Dutch working buildings have been brought together in one place. Plenty to see and do. Visiting inside of windmill was fascinating. The working clogs museum showing how they were traditionally made and more recent "industrial" processes was also worthwhile.

The Kinderdijk Windmills tour is a top three "must see" in Holland. Unique panorama's with the best typical Dutch photo (selfie) moments for a lifetime memory...THIS IS HOLLAND! The location is on about a 1 - 1 1/2 hour drive from Amsterdam (depends of the traffic). Visit a windmill, make a splendid boattrip to get the best angle for your photo's or get inspired by the serenity of this incredible Dutch landscape. On our way back to Amsterdam we will pull over for an interesting stop at a (cheese)farm (only if you want) where we are going to drink fresh pure milk straight from the cow. You for sure have never tasted this before! INCREDIBLE. I am your private guide and also your driver, well mannered and well educated.  I am fluent in English, speak some German, Spanish and Portugese.

Inclusions: Bottled water, Dutch Snacks (syrup waffles)

Exclusions: BELOW IS NOT MANDATORY, Windmill Entrance fee (8 euro per person), Ticket for the boattour is 8 euro per person
