During our visit to the Yarra Valley visiting wineries we dropped into this place hoping to have some lunch. Little did we know that venuse can get booked up weeks in advance so some advance planning is required. I am familiar with their wines as I do have a few in my wine rack at home. The vineyard was first planted in 1971, and has over 170 hectares of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Nebbiolo and Gamay Noir. We browsed through the store which has small goods, gifts and wines etc for sale. Next time with better planning we hope to dine here and do some wine tasting.

We often purchase these multi-day passes, as they provide a great way to see a city. This one, for our 2 days in Melbourne was thrown out money. The Hop On Hop Off was awful....the pre-recorded narrative was unintelligible. To get from place to place, it only ran once every 45 minutes. Then, once we became familiar with Melbourne, the offered attractions were worthless, unless you wanted discounts to drink. Places were unable to get to, information was non-existent. Absolutely the worst!

The Yarra Valley has an abundance of hidden treasures and this full day tour is a showcase of some our favourites! This is a relaxed and informative day tour with a professional tour guide providing interesting information throughout the day about the history of the valley and regional wine varietals. Sample a variety of locally produced specialties at four venues throughout the valley as well as taking some time to explore the village of Healesville with its cafes, distilleries and wine bars. Tour includes generous wine tastings at 4 wineries plus finish the day with a glass of wine or a bottle of craft beer! Our small group tour (max 11 guests) provides pick up and drop off at Lilydale train station or any accommodation or address in the Yarra Valley. City pickups are not available. Most of our guests staying in Melbourne choose to catch the train to Lilydale station. It takes about 1 hour (quicker than driving in traffic) and from there it is only 5 minutes to Yarra Valley!

Inclusions: Wine tastings at 4 wineries, plus finish the day with a glass of wine or bottle of craft beer!

Exclusions: Lunch is not included in this tour but we will visit Healesville village with numerous cafe's, burger joints and restaurants offering a variety of lunch options to suit any budget

Thank you Craig! We absolutely loved our tour and I must confess we are multiple riders and first time reviewers! Sorry! Each time we have taken a tour with Craig (2 x in his bus) and 1 x in his new merc van (sooo comfy!) we have been given a delightful, informative tour of the area. Craig's knowledge and approachable manner means you have a great overview of the area and insights to what it is to live in the Yarra Valley. Our tours start with bubbles at Chandon over look acres of vines and the mountains. We then head off to a variety of boutique wineries and lunch. Every time we have gone on a tour, it has been a little different because depending on what day of the week will depend on what is open! But Craig knows it all so there is no worries for figuring out the itinerary. Loved it! Completely recommend his touring company.

We booked 2 tours with Australian Private Tours, Dandenong mountains and the great ocean road. Cameron was quite attentive and called me to explain in detail our travel itinerary even when he is overseas. He was very efficient and would reply to my email very promptly. Our tour guide, Francois was fantastic! He is really amazing and also easy going. His positivity is contagious, which made us all happy during the tour. He is considerate and attentive to each of our needs. It was very relaxing on tour with him as he didn’t rush us during the day. Australian Private Tours is truly worth it. With such fantastic service and the price is really affordable too. It is one of our best trips and I will definitely choose this company again in the future.

Our tour of the Great Ocean Road was great. Melvin did a fantastic job. It is not a short ride but he made it very enjoyable. He knew the best way to perform the route and how to avoid the crowds as much as possible. He took us to wonderful locations to admire the particular landscape from this coast. Melvin was very flexible and very professional. Vehicle was very comfortable, clean, fully stocked with water, great music and Melvin also surprised us with wi-fi on the way back. When asked why he did not mention the wi-fi on the way out his honest response was “if I give you wi-fi, you will not admire the beauty of the scenery “. This is a great way to visit the Great Ocean Road without the inconvenience and hassle of large group tours.

This unforgettable experience of Wine and Gin tastings at Yarra Valley will start with a 9:00 AM departure from South Yarra Station, from where we will take you to 3 exclusively and selected wineries in the Yarra Valley. Unwind yourself at each stop to ensure that you have a very personal approach to the tasting and perceive every detail on the wine and gin-making process. During the trip, you and your loved ones will be amazed by the spectacular and green landscape of our beautiful wine region. Two of the boutique wineries charges $5 per tasting, but they are refundable if you purchase one of their exclusive wines, I would suggest doing so as these exclusive wines are not for sale in any liquor store. Then, I will take you to Innocent bystander for a Paella of your choice seafood, beef or vegetarian with the wines you prefer for about $24 per person. Lastly, we will visit 4 Pillar distillery. We will return to South Yarra station at about 4:00 PM. Looking forward to meeting you.

Inclusions: Bottled water, Air-conditioned vehicle, Private transportation

Exclusions: $5 per wine tasting, Paella + wines about $24 per person

My girlfriend and I booked with Michael for an afternoon private tour of Yarra Valley and it exceeded our expectations. Michael himself was lovely and knowledgeable, and it was a pleasure pleasure sharing the day, car and conversations with him. Great music in the car too! He was flexible and allowed us to personalise the trip in terms of timings/duration, and the pick-up / drop-off in Melbourne was seamless. It goes without saying that the wines / wineries / tastings were all exceptional, as was the lunch spot in town. We were taken to: Punt Road, Innocent Bystander (where we had a tasting and lunch), Payton & Jones and Oakridge Estate. Loved them all. Only regret is that we wish we had had more time so we could have booked a longer tour! Would definitely go with Michael and Shortlist Tours again - highly recommended.
