On this self-guided GPS audio tour, you'll wander down picturesque lanes past windmills, pocket-sized homes, imposing fortified town walls, ghost houses and bakeries with your guide, Annette Welkamp, the Director of Culture Counsel. There are also plenty of places to stop on the way to pull up a chair, order a coffee and watch the world walk, or cycle, past.

Come and visit our workspace in Apeldoorn, where you and a maximum of five other participants can learn a lot in a few hours about soap, its history, how you make it, smells and colors and the like. What you learn varies per workshop. And the great thing is that you learn how to make soap this morning, afternoon or evening or learn certain techniques, by doing it yourself, under supervision of course! We deliberately keep the groups small in order to be able to give a lot of attention to everyone. There is the opportunity to ask questions throughout the workshop. There is water, coffee, tea and soft drinks available and a tasty snack. The goal is to have fun together and to learn something new.
Inclusions: Coffee and/or Tea, Soda/Pop, Snacks, Bottled water

My cruise would be docking in Amsterdam, Dirk suggested using the train system to get to Arnhem. When I confirmed that this would be possible he put together a detailed suggested tour and also included a train time table that would make this tour work. We met at Arnhem Centraal station and the tour covering the 4th Para brigade was off and running. Dirk's presentation was clear and concise and he was able to answer all my questions with no hesitation. Since this was a very specific tour I had read up on this part of the battle before and was prepared because my time in Arnhem was time limited. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in this WW2 battle. I would also recommend that when you book it ask Dirk to recommend a book to read to prepare you for the tour. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Paul Preziose
