The tour of the set was excellent. The place is a well oiled machine from ticket office to bus ride etc. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the movies and all other aspects . The movie set was awesome and the gardens amazing . Even if you’re not a movie buff the experience and sheer brilliance of PJ et al is totally worth it . Having a drink ( free) at the Green Dragon ???? was fantastic.

Fiordland Lodge and Doubtful Sound. Fantastic ferry ride across Lake Manapouri and bus ride over the Wilmot Pass to board the Fiordland Navigator for 2 nights. 3 sunny, calm days to relax on board, spoiled by the chef's lovely food and Courtney's very knowledgeable commentary about the Sounds, history, wildlife, birdlife and little things like having complete silence in the Sound to enjoy the peace and look at the amazing mountains and their reflections in the calm water. An unexpected run out into the Tasman Sea was a bonus. The Fiordland Lodge is an American style Lodge built with lots of logs and wood and stone, very spacious. Friendly helpful staff. Located 6km from Te Anau. Our only concern was the lack of food choice for dinner, on a 3 course meal was offered, no light meals. The breakfast (included) was lovely, as was all the food, some interesting variations in tastes.

This has been on my bucket list for a long time and it did not disappoint. Rachel (pilot) was outstanding, knowledgeable and passionate about the area. We did the 20 minute Franz Joseph glacier trip. We were lucky enough to land on fresh snow and spend some time taking photos. Absolutely buzzing afterwards. Highly recommend and really the only way to appreciate the glaciers.

I booked tickets from kiwi to return to my country because of covid. I went to airport and the airline told me that didn't find my name as a passenger there , and after when i called my airline they told me that it looked that i cancelled my flight and i have to call kiwi. I called kiwi and they told me that they couldn't do anything. It was unexeptable i stayed in the airport and kiwi didn't help me , i lost my flight in a condition such as covid. Only stress and anxiety. Kiwi is very bad.

Helicopter Line had great reviews compared to their competitors sp we chose them for the heli hike at Franz Josef. Everything was well orgabised and we got in the helicopter in no time. The sky was blue and made for a magnificent flight up the glacier. We got underway and got to experience and see some beautiful scenery. Pictures do not do it justice! Highly recommend!

There are so many changing features that the guides always find something new. Weather permitting; ice time is up to 3 hours.

Nothing compares. It is truly the best value best tourist attraction that we have done as a family. The safety brief was pitched perfectly and honest. The borrowed kit was high quality - the boots were so comfortable they felt like my own. We had perfect weather conditions. After a quick 5 min helicopter trip to the glacier, put your crampons on and follow your guide ( in our case stretch). Simply spectacular. This was not ‘moderate exercise’ it was easy slow paced stopping all the time to view the extraordinary sights (we walked 1200m in @2 hrs on the ice). Our guide even built (well pick axed) stairs for us. Safety was paramount but we entered ice caves of various sizes and just had fun looking feeling and seeing a glacier first hand. Go ASAP - it’s melting faster than I imagined

A truly magical and unforgettable experience! We did the heli hike with Scott who was the best guide we could have asked for. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything and show us how to use the crampons and walk on the glacier. We were lucky enough to see some amazing ice caves which Scott took us through. One of us got a bit claustrophobic so Scott took her in separately afterwards so she could see as well. The helicopter pilot was also amazing with a super smooth ride. We were the only ones on the tour as well. Absolute value for money, you won’t regret it. Highly recommend!!
