We (my husband and I ) had an amazing time in the Galapagos Islands! We did this trip at the end of October 2020 after the stressful lockdown covid months, so we were looking forward to unwind and visit for the first time the enchanted islands as our vacation. The tours designed by Rebecca Adventure were perfect and customized to our taste and needs. We visited Santa Cruz and Isabela and it was perfect because there weren't many tourists at the time due to the pandemic. We were truly impressed with all the activities, the wildlife and the services provided by our tour guides. We got to see most of the land and marine fauna that we expected, including hammerhead sharks. It was without a doubt one of the most memorable trips of our lives. We highly recommend Rebecca Adventure as your tour agency for the Galapagos and Ecuador. Biosecurity measures were very well respected on the islands, so its safe to travel! If you're looking to come to Ecuador and the Galapagos this is the time, still less tourists, the wildlife is truly impressive and besides life is short, take risks and ENJOY IT!

I cannot stress enough how flawless this experience was. The communication before, during and after the trip was amazing. I traveled during the pandemic as a solo female traveler and had zero concerns. From the airlines to guides, to transfers, to the food and excursions. Snorkeling, hiking, biking, kayaking, and wildlife galore! Every step of the way everything was handled safely and responsibly. Animals everywhere and minimal people. Just what I needed! There literally could not be a better time to travel to the Galapagos. Nothing was ruined, canceled or impacted. I am so glad I moved forward with my trip and I highly encourage others to do the same. Do not hesitate. Book the trip!!! I will use this company again to plan an Amazon vacation.

We took the Santa Fe III to Bartolomeo on Sunday as our first tour in the Galapagos. The boat was spacious and clean - overall luxurious. I didn’t realize until we took another tour with a different company later in the week just how amazing this one had been. Because the boat was large, the rough seas weren’t too bad and although I had proactively taken motion sickness medicine before we started, I think it would have been fine without it. Our guide was Diego and he knows everything you could ever imagine! We hiked and snorkeled as well as enjoyed lunch on board. The entire experience was wonderful and our only regret was not being able to do another tour with this company during our stay!

We just finished a 6-day cruise booked with Rodrigo from Natural Life. It was an amazing cruise aboard the Alya Yacht. Everything was perfect, from the expert guide to the food. Oh my gosh the food was fantastic. The chef used to work at one of the top hotels in Quito and each meal was gourmet using local fresh ingredients. We had ceviche twice, tuna, filet mignon, shrimp, and more. The staff aboard was so nice, and everything was planned for us. We kayaked, snorkeled everyday, hiked, and more. We saw so many different animals. We swam with dolphins, turtles, sea lions, and sharks. Our guide, Luis, was so knowledgeable and had a wonderful sense of humor. We had so much fun! I wholeheartedly recommend this trip. Rodrigo from Natural Life was outstanding and held our hands the whole way — booking our cruise, securing our hotel rooms, getting our salvoconducto documents, and arranging our Covid tests. He was quick to reply to all my questions at all hours. He clearly is customer service focused.

We arrived Isabela Islands on a very last minute change of our trip due to the mainland suddenly decided to lock down in April. Without any time to do research, we luckily ended up booking with The Wooden House. The host really took care of us every step of the way. It is the closest hotel near the main dock where the boat from Santa Cruz arrives and departs and where the tour activities start. It is also the closest to the famous snorkeling at Concha de Perla. The property is charming, lots of wood, as if you were chilling at a beachy lodge. It is a family-run business and they made sure you feel like home. We certainly did. There are plenty of area to lounge around, downstairs or upstairs. Walking to the center of the town was easy and took less than 5 minutes, where we ate at Albita almost every night, for their delicious grilled meats and flavorful seafood in garlic sauce. The hotel has its own activity center. We were grateful to have Joseph Carlos recommend what to do in Isabela Islands. He knew the weather, the current, the water condition. Based on that, he suggested the best on which day to do what. He planned and booked the absolutely perfect stay for us. The room was charming and comfortable. There was AC which we tried to not use because the outside air was so nice. We looked forward to a good night sleep after being out playing all day and the next morning's hearty breakfast. After 3 nights, we really did not want to leave. It is totally worth it to visit Isabela Islands via the 2-hour speed boat from Santa Cruz. I am sensitive to sea sickness but I made it fine there and back with the help of sea sickness pills and sea bands. Just try to get a seat on the lower deck and toward the back of the boat where there are max air flow. Everyone wants those seats so plan to get there early. We did a 5-day Galapagos cruise afterwards, to Floreana and Espanola. Even thought they were also beautiful, but we both agreed that Isabela Islands was much more interesting. The morning snorkeling at Concha de Perla, we had to walk through clusters of sea lions and piles of iguanas. We swam with a mother and a pup who didn't just get up close and personal, they basically forced their way through snorkelers to get up and down the steps to the water. That was amazing. We loved the snorkeling at Los Tuneles. Despite the water being a bit mirky, the landscape was incredible. We saw blue footed boobies, a penguin, sharks, a big sea horse, rays from above water and the biggest turtles I have ever seen. I think the biggest one was 4 foot long! The hotel had booked us with a great tour company. And kayaking to Las Tintoreras was also booked by the hotel and our guide was fantastic. Various sea lions chased us around and checking us out. We kayaked next to green sea turtles and golden rays, lots of big birds flying close just above our heads. Not to mention penguines at their home turf. The guide was informational and kept us safe. We snorkeled to see sharks on the bottom of the floor, which our guide found and tried to tell another group, but they just could not find them. Our guide was the best. When the current got a little rougher, he be sure to get us back and head toward another better location. Overall, I am seriously glad that we made the last minute change to come to Puerto Villamil, and happy to have landed at The Wooden House!
