The COVID-19 pandemic, of course, impacted the sites we visited - some positively and some less so. There were hardly any tourists, so we felt like we had most places to our selves. Ratih took us to a fun restaurant instead and we stopped at a few local fruit stands to sample local produce. The hot springs resort was most impacted by the pandemic. The resort has channeled hot spring water to create a series of pools where one can soak their feet. An extra fee will allow you to swim in a warm pool with water falls and get a back massage. Normally there are amusement rides for children but those are closed due to COVID and so are most food stalls. I imagine it would be a lot of fun, especially for kids, if we had visited before the pandemic and if it hadn’t started to rain. :) Overall, a wonderful trip. Ratih made everything so easy. We recommend it.

Take photos when in Outer Baduy since the camera and electronic products are strictly prohibited in Inner Baduy. Stay overnight in Inner Baduy to experience life without electricity and technology.
