The 10 Best Tours in Austin, Texas (TX)

January 14, 2022 Merry Kessler

Every year thousands of hipsters, groupies, and die-hard fans flock to Austin for the annual South by Southwest festival, which has catapulted the Texas city up the must-visit charts for many travelers. The sandstone Capitol building is symbolic of the Lone Star State’s "bigger is better" mentality, featuring a gorgeous whispering gallery rotunda and 22 acres of grounds. Cool off with a dip in Barton Springs, a huge natural limestone pool that’s fed by underground sources.

For my group of 3 friends visiting Austin, experiencing time on the water was a must for us. We found Lone Star Kayak online and then used the rental Lime scooters to get there (slightly hidden, have to look for signs). The employees were very helpful & personable. We got to rent a huge new Paddleboard & were the first people to try it out! It was a really fun unique activity, must do in Austin!

I treated my 85 year old mother who has lived in Georgetown for a year to the Austin Double Decker and we loved it! She is not able to drive around town to tour and learn about the city and this was a perfect way for her to get that opportunity in a fun and safe environment. The driver was helpful in picking the best seats for us and the tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and made the learning experience a great one. Thank you from a tourist in Spokane.

I rented an E bike for two of us and we rode around town lake. The bike was awesome! Devon, was equally awesome, as he fit us for the right size bike and made sure the seat was in the right position. This bike shop is in a perfect location where you can hop on the bike path at town lake. The battery was freshly charged and when we got back from our ride was still at 75%. I love that this bike shop allows you to rent the entire day and are open until dark, 8:00 PM. There is no other place I would rather rent a bike than this place. It’s time to go back for a 3rd time and have some fun along the trail network! Happy Trails!
