The Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Region (Spanish: Región de Aysén, pronounced [ai̯ˈsen], or XI Región Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo), often shortened to Aysén Region or Aisén, is one of Chile's 15 first order administrative divisions. Although the third largest in area, the region is Chile's most sparsely populated region with a population of 102,317 as of 2017. The capital of the region is Coihaique, the region's former namesake.

Diego and Thamars were very helpful in providing me with activities to do near Pto Aysen and making them possible. Also, they have very good English, if that is something important to you

It is a very safe and entertaining experience, they will learn to paddle and they will also learn a lot about the geology of the place. We are also the only ones who are all year. Mai, the guide lives 9 years ago in Patagonia and knows the whole region and its customs. Also, unlike other agencies that offer the same service, our groups are small, which ensures that it is a personalized activity.

You will be able to know and visit historical places and of an unmistakable natural beauty. We will walk through places that thousands of years ago used the Tehuelches and you can listen to a story about who they were, how they lived and some anecdotes of the time and history. A guided tour is special because every detail, story, experience and experiences of our guides is enjoyed in a real way. The route is 7.4 km in medium difficulty and walking takes about 4 hours. Our tours start from a higher place only allowed for official dealers of Patagonia Park, which has a TIME SAVINGS and a walk of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

PatagoniaXpress helped us arrange two amazing trips: a one-day boat trip to see glaciers and a Jeinimeni-Patagonia through-hike. Our guide was flexible, helpful, and reliable. For one trip, he was able to provide recommendations to suit our interests. For the other trip, we knew where we wanted to go and he got us there. The price was very reasonable. The guides are multilingual. I would highly recommend PatagoniaXpress to anyone planning a trip to Chile.

We had a very disappointing tour with the tour company Top Private Tours, in Puerto Chacabuco. Our concerns with this tour included: a lack of appropriate training for guides, a lack of quality control by the company, and not honouring what was advertised. I am uncertain if this company sub contracts their tours, but when Viator reached out to the company on our behalf, they were communicating with ‘Indoor Uruguay’. The guide we received was not trained and had never done a tour before. Although very nice, she did not provide information regarding the sites other than the names of whatever we stopped at. The tour guide depended on her phone to determine the answers to some of our questions. The tour guide and driver talked to each other, in Spanish, instead of to their 6 passengers. Our advertised 3.5 hour tour, was 2.5 hours and we paid over $800.00 for the 6 of us. A snack was also advertised and not received, although we were later compensated for this. Of significant concern was the fact that the company did not accept responsibility for a less than satisfactory tour. Although the countryside is beautiful, I am unable to recommend this tour with this company.

We will cross the longest suspension bridge of Chile, the "Presidente Ibañez" Bridge, created by Eiffel. From here you are going to explore the unique nature of the Patagonien Cold Rainforrest. You drive to the "Bahia Acantilada" National Park. After a little walk we reach the plateaus called "Mirador Martin Pescador" where you can take great pictures from the Andes. Right after this wonderful stop you drive further eastwards to a Lagoon named "Laguna fantasma", the Ghost lagoon. It shows you how this entire region looked like in the last century. Than you will explore the old pioneer path and walk over the oldest woodmade suspencion brigde of the Region! From here we are on our way back to the Port of Chacabuco but doing our last stop in one of the nicest Lagoons, the "Lagnuna Coipos". You will have the chance to enjoy the wonderful view into the fjord of Chacabuco and than going back on board with wonderful impressions of the most isolated Region of Chile, AYSÈN.

Did this trip in February. To sum it up it consists of 11 hours in a minivan to visit three churches in Chiloe, none of them is interesting unless you are an academic interested in the technical details of wooden church building in the mid 19th century. However good the guides are (and our guide was excellent) this piece of Chile is not worth visiting. The drive to Castro in Chiloe island comprises a 70km motorway run to a ferry and then more than two hours driving along a scruffy, semi industrialised road with no redeeming features to Castro. On arrival the only logical question is "why bother". There are so many beautiful places in Chile I would suggest that people give this excursion a swerve and prevent the total waste of a day of their lives.

Very poor value for money.. First day is wasted. Just collect you and hotel. Second day, a full tour of the park with only nuts snack. Third day, a half day boat tour to glacier (8.30-2.30) then lunch. Fourth day, local bus return. A lot of down time. Patagonia trip planner were awesome! My friends and I were on a traveling/climbing holiday but spoke little Spanish and finding topos and climbing destinations was proving hard. We got in touch with them to get a trip to lagoona San Rafael. They took care of everything including accommodation, transport from coyhaique and gave us recommendations on places to eat. After chatting with our guide and telling him the difficulties we were having finding topos in the area. He was delighted to show us several top crags in Cerro Castillo, back in coyhaique they even organized climbing on Cerro Mackay!!! Awesome 5 days. Brilliant service nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend. Thank you guys!!!
