This is an expansive property about 74 acres! The Buddha and all the other associated sites were beautiful and extremely impressive. This is a vacation site NOT to be missed. I especially loved the 'Hand of Buddha' bronze statue!! I also did over 40 selfies w/ red coat clad locals who thought I looked like somebody famous!!

The caverns are fun enough for the whole family. We went on a rainy day and it was actually very pleasant with hardly anyone around. The caves are lit up with colorful lights. Which gives the caves unnatural look, but they are so large which makes the whole thing very interesting. I suppose there are no stalactites, stalagmites or other interesting mineral formation to the caves that the lights made the caves come to live and look neat to walk around in.
We went down to the lower caverns, which is quiet a bit far down stairs, but once you get down there and explore, it's very..very neat! At the end of the lower cavern, you come out to a small waterfall. Small but powerful waterfall. Walking toward the waterfall, I felt like I found Shangri La. Cute setting almost movie like. You just have to let your imagination run a bit wild. We then took a short boat ride across underground river. Watch out for your head! The top of the cave is low in places, and the American lawyers haven't worked their way through here yet.
When you're done with the caverns, there are good Stoll to be had. The ground is very well manicured, there's a butterfly park you can go to, a couple of different pavilions you can visit. All and all, it's a nice, interesting place for the whole family to visit for the day. Entrance fee is RMB 70 (for the caverns only), extra fees for the gandola ride, or the slide..etc.
Take a private car to this area. If you can contract a taxi to take you there, there's no taxi to take you back.

Very impressed with this park which is free and vast. Great during Cherry blossom season. Good for kids as they have an amusement park. The landscaping is nice with vast areas of green grass to picnic on. The pagoda itself is very old and impressive.
Beats most parks in China and worth visiting if you have extra time in Yixing. Plan about 1.5 to 2 hours there depending if you do activities.

Dingshu Town 丁蜀镇 and Dingshan Town 丁山镇 run together about a 50 Yuan taxi ride from Yixing City 宜兴市。 This is the place to buy a fine clay teapot, to use in making gongfu style tea 功夫茶。They are small and made from the local special clay They are famous throughout China.
Dozens of small shops are located side by side in this area. It isn't just a single museum. Look a lot of the items before you buy. Remember to bargain. A well made teapot here will cost you a fraction of what it would in Shanghai.

This is the smaller of the 2 Cave parks near Yixing. We did not have much time and we decided to go here with our child. Small park that is just another attraction to attract tourist money. If it is on the way and you are into caves then worth visiting. The cave itself is large and lit up in multi-colors. The ticket includes some cave rafting as well and and small water rafting course. There is a small temple as well. A nice outing about a 15min drive from Yixing, but only if you have spare time in your schedule.

Yun Lake

Reviewed By Ladybeijing - Nanjing, China
