Named for the wife of a general in the American Revolutionary Army, this park is great place to picnic among the trees.
My wife and I (and our pup) visited this park to hike up to the fire tower on Mt. Olga. The campground was packed for Columbus Day weekend, but that didn't hinder our cisit. In favt, the smell of the campfires added to te start of our hike. The trail to the top was very easy and the ciews from the tower were superb. The fall colors were popping everywhere! This is definitely a hike I would do again.

Adams Farm is a family run farm since 1865. The farm is currently owned and operated by 5th generation, Christopher (Kip) Adams. Three generations of Adams’ currently work on the farm, which operates year round with seasonal activities. We have a small farm store that features both Adams Farm products and gifts (meats, eggs, maple syrup, sauces, and more), as well as other Vermont made products (maple, sauces, wood products, and all around Vermont gifts & farm related gifts). Visit our friendly farm animals year round. During the summer months take a scenic horseback ride, join us for some paintball, and a variety of special activities including wagon rides & Farm-to-Table BBQs. During the winter months join us for a horse-drawn sleigh ride to a log cabin in the woods for hot chocolate and to warm up by the wood stoves.
Wonderful family farm with outstanding staff. They work very hard to make sure you enjoy your sleigh ride. They explain the workings of the farm as the ride progresses and toward the second half of the ride there is a cabin where you stop to warm up and have a cup of cocoa. Property is beautiful! We were lucky enough to meet a few of the little baby lambs who were residing in the store, beyond cute! Definitely recommend!

Honora Winery & Vineyard, West Halifax, VT Picture yourself outdoors with a glass of cabernet overlooking the beautiful Vermont countryside.Located in Southern Vermont, event center, outdoor stone patios, acres of grape vines, only 3 hours from NYC. Private tours, events, open houses listed on our web site.
Cute little winery in southern vermont. Stopped in while leaf peeping. The woman conducting the tasting was very pleasant and informative. My husband actually did a beer tasting while I tasted the wine. All of the wines were made from California grapes and most were pretty. We did buy two bottles to bring home. They have picnic tables around the grounds so we were able to eat our picnic lunch after we had our tastings.

This is our fourth year completing the adventure challenge. It is an absolute blast and I highly recommend it. Every year's challenge is completely different, so be prepared for anything and everything. Always pack bug spray, a bathing suit, and hiking shoes. Wear your provided shirts. Talk to fellow challengers and have fun. Enjoy what you're seeing and where youre adventuring to!!! It's our favorite summer excursion.

Mount Snow is a premier four season resort located in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont featuring four mountain faces of downhill skiing and snowboarding - including one of the East's best terrain parks, Carinthia - slopeside lodging and golf at the acclaimed Mount Snow Golf Club as well as flexible wedding and conference facilities. Other activities include snow tubing, ski & snowboard lessons, downhill mountain biking and a full schedule of festivals and events. Mount Snow is a member of the Peak Resorts family.
The first time we went to Mount Snow was in 2011. It's where our young son fell in love with skiing. We took him back this past weekend to celebrate his 13th birthday. The mountain is all that we remember and more. The conditions were incredible with the recent snow and they were 100% open. Mount Snow has something for every level skier. My son and I loved skiing the North Face, Carinthia and all over the mountain. My husband who just decided to learn how to ski had the best lesson with Logan (thank you!!!). Logan gave him so many helpful tips, helped motivate him to stick with it and reinforced it's never too late to learn. Seeing how my husband's confidence level had been lifted after that one lesson was wonderful. There's a great summit lodge where we enjoyed lunch each day. The bubble lift is fantastic (I just wish the line wasn't as long). We will be back for sure and my husband will be sure to request Logan for another lesson.

This "farmer's market" is mostly for the carriage trade. There are many opportunities to receive massages, purchase pottery and sip herbal teas. There are even a few vendors selling veggies, artisanal cheeses and breads), legumes, etc., but mostly at HIGH prices (though towards closing time you might find a few bargains). Also, there is usually a local band performing, a sandbox for the kids, and picnic tables to enjoy lunches bought from one of the vendors. If you are really doing a weekly shopping for the family, however, I'd recommend that you visit one of several farmsteads in and around Brattleboro (in West Brattleboro, on the way to Putney on Route 5, or in Newline, for example) . Some of the same farms which sell at the Brattleboro Farmer's Market also have their own farmsteads, where prices are much more reasonable.

The Art of Humor Gallery, a collection of seriously funny fine art, features the work of artist/cartoonist Skip Morrow. On display are limited edition giclee prints, watercolor originals, books and greeting cards. Skip's internationally published illustrations include New York Times best selling books, greeting cards, magazine articles and advertising for national and international corporations. The 3000 foot gallery is situated on 14 acres of a scenic mountainside in the Green Mountains of Vermont, just minutes from the village of Wilmington and Mount Snow Ski area. The Art of Humor Gallery (at the Brass Bed B&B) has just been named a 2013 Editor's Choice Winner by Yankee Magazine. Admission: $5 (credited toward purchase)
We found this attraction on the internet while searching for "things-to-do" in Southern Vermont, and decided to seek it out. Easily found by GPS, this art gallery/private home/B&B combination is well worth the stop. We spent a couple of hours touring the gallery and admiring the pristine grounds visible through the very large windows. The owner and artist Skip Morrow greeted us at the door, pleasantly explained the gallery and then left us alone to view the hundreds of humorous drawings on the walls. There is a small admission charge of $5 each, but this is applied toward any purchases that might be made in the form of a discount. We found ourselves simply taking our time as we moved about the multi-level gallery, trying to decipher the sometimes off-beat, hidden humor of the artist. Simply an relaxing and enjoyable couple of hours.

Snowmobile Adventures
We had a fabulous time snowmobiling this past weekend! There were 8 of us in our group and everyone would go again! We tried a 1 hour tour last year in Killington, this was much better! Everyone working here, was happy, friendly and upbeat! Our guide was fabulous!

Vermont Distillers of Marlboro specializes in crafting fine liqueurs using local ingredients. Stop by and try the whole lineup of spirits and liqueurs which include Vodka, Maple Cream Liqueur, Raspberry Liqueur, Limoncello and more! The distillery is currently under renovations, however spirits tastings and sales are still happening next door at the Hogback Mountain Gift Shop.
The address for this is no good, this distillery is not actually open to the public, but drive a little further on the same road for the overlook and the shop next to it has a tasting desk for this.
The liquor tastes great, would definately buy again.
