We had heard about the recently opened brewery in Wellington, so three of us decided to check it out on a Saturday afternoon. Old Colorado Brewing Company is located in a very distinctive building – a large grain elevator converted to a craft beer brewery. Tables and chairs provide fair-weather seating in front of the building. The inside has been impressively renovated with skilled craftsmanship. The wooden floors and walls give a comfortable feel with seating at tables and the bar. The bar counter has an acrylic covered collection of Colorado license plates. A moderate number, but good variety of beers is available. We tried samples of several of these. I enjoyed the Saison as much as any. Packaged snacks are also available. The bartender gave us an interesting discussion of his family’s brewing history, going back to his Grandpa’s early beers made in Fort Collins. On this Saturday, live music and a food truck were coming in the evening. Old Colorado Brewing Company is a pleasant place to get together with friends.

Tour guide Scott took us on an excellent tour of the brewery. The facility is excellent, clean, and well laid out. Recommend it highly. Parking is on the street at this time.

Our first-ever rafting trip was a huge success and met all expectations. Only thing to do now is upgrade from the Taste to the Blast on our next visit. Highly recommended if anywhere near Estes/RMNP. We visited Ft. Collins and did our rafting on the...MoreYay! We're happy we were able to make your first trip a memorable one :) Yes, please come back in June or July so you can do the Blast.

This is a spectacular flower garden, and it is outdoors. Holy moly, lots of beautiful flowers. I am an avid gardener and have over one hundred flower pots in my yard. I was clearly in heaven. Lots of butterflies and bees, Harmless. You have to see these to embrace the beauty of such large healthy flowers. A lot of water is needed for flowers. Thank you to all that made this happen a lot of hard work! All of these flowers are so big and well maintained, this can cheer up any one that needs some happiness.

Our family had the annual membership this year, and primarily only used it with our younger son who was 10. Kids 12 and up will likely not enjoy it for long. It is definitely geared for younger ones. The space is trendy and well kept and clean, which is a plus! The attached coffee shop is pretty great too. The reciprocal museum privileges make the annual membership well worth it, since the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is on that list! We went down to Denver 3 or 4 times with friends and everyone got in free with our plus membership card. So worth it!

Lovely lake and park with lots of activities for children and adults. There's a community swimming pool, tennis courts, open fields to play whatever you choose, or just take a nice leisurely stroll around the lake and enjoy the many waterfowl and pelicans!

A great ride in beautifully restored old street trolley from early 1900"s. Easy to get on in the park and enjoy a ride to down town Fort Collins. You can get off here or simply return to the park by switching your seat-back and going the other way. Trolley driver is interesting to listen to about the old days in Fort Collins.

We're a small craft brewery dedicated to brewing great-tasting beers and building community in Northern Colorado. We'd love to see you at the tasting room any day 12-6pm if you'd like to see Horse & Dragon's home and try a flight (except 1/1, 12/25, Thanksgiving Day, and Tour de Fat Day, when we close). We have tours Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30 -- and any other time you ask as long as we have an extra person available to give one. If you can't make it out here, we'll watch for you around town drinking #freshtastycraftbeer. Cheers!
Horse & Dragon insist they are a brewery that 'just' sells beer - and not a bar - but they are so good at what they do they cannot help themselves but provide a welcoming space with an excellent vibe. Great 'regular' beers & always...MoreThank you so much for taking the time to review, and for your kind words! We're really happy you enjoyed your experience here in the taproom, and we'll look forward to raising a glass with you again soon! Cheers!
