Absolutely stunning beach just a 10 min cycle ride from Duinrell or a 45 minute walk. All separate from the road. The beach has a row of bars and restaurants and snack bars so if you aren't a lover of sitting on sand then this is perfect as you can sit in the bar whilst the kids play on the sand below. Clean and tidy as loads of bins and plenty of places to buy buckets and spades. Also a car park available if you are driving there but the cycle/walking route is lovely.

Enjoy modern and contemporary art, architecture and nature at museum Voorlinden, Wassenaar, the Netherlands.
Museum Voorlinden hosts a variety of quality modern art, in a beautiful building. We saw some superb special exhibitions (Yayoi Kusama and Do Ho Suh) and we enjoyed the permanent collection. The museum is located on old estate in a garden that must have been shaped at least a hundred years ago. From The Hague or Leiden it is a nice bike ride to the Museum, and afterwards you can connect to Meijendel or to the beach, before biking back. A beautiful day that combines culture, nature and exercise. We saw many people that rented bikes at the train station.

This beautiful church is an icon of Wassenaar. Once you enter this very nice old church, you will be touched by the chandeliers where real candles are burning during the service. (Great to see the chandeliers go up and down due to the winches- sponsored by an anonymous person) In this beautiful church you can meditate, listen to classic concerts or attend a service. Famous is the Christmas-Eve Service where a huge Christmas tree stands in the middle of the church. Wonderful place to be!
