The Kitchen at The Store

What a great way to spend a Saturday evening! We learned not only the recipes, but also a lot of the chemical and nutritional information underlying them, all while casually enjoying a glass of wine and having someone else clean up the dishes. Pretty much the perfect meal! Chef Arianna is extremely fun and knowledgeable, and she does a great job of not only teaching and instructing, but also of entertaining and being a great host. Can't wait to come back and see you again!

Walker Contemporary

Est. 2007 Born and raised in Vermont, Stephanie Walker, owner, Walker Contemporary, has 18 years of experience as a contemporary art dealer. Walker began her career at a gallery specializing in 19th & 20th century American impressionist work and then became the Director of a contemporary art gallery on Newbury Street in Boston, where she remained for almost ten years. Before opening her own gallery in Boston in 2008, Walker spent a year living in Los Angeles; traveling all over the country, especially up and down the West coast to fairs, galleries and artists’ studios. It was a pivotal opportunity that solidified and deepened her passion for working with contemporary art and artists. After three years in Boston, Walker moved operations to her home state of Vermont and opened Walker Contemporary in Waitsfield. Walker is deeply committed to the advancement of outstanding contemporary art through the promotion of dedicated, innovative and passionate, emerging and mid-career artists who push the limits of both material and process in order to challenge and inspire the way we see. The gallery is located in historic Waitsfield Village in the beautiful green mountains of Vermont.

We stopped here out of curiosity and ended up having a fantastic experience! It is a small market with a huge selection of local goodies: syrup, spirits, jams, snacks, gifts. They also serve local cheese plates along with wine, beer and cider. The cheese was some of the best we ever had and at $12 was a steal! The oat cookie/crackers were also delicious! I would highly recommend stopping in for a bite!

Mad River Glen

Popular Vermont ski area and New England's best ski buy.

Reviewed By JohnnieTraveller - Boston, United States

This is the real thing! No corporate crap or pretense. This is a skiers only area frequented by purists. From the first arrival, to the unassuming parking lot, the modest lodge and the iconic ‘single chair’, this mountain is different from the pack. A refreshing change from the crush of bigger collective-owners and their need for more ticket sales, and thus more skiers. The terrain is not for beginners, and is more reminiscent of Rocky Mountain steeps and trees. A wonderful Mecca for every skier. Enjoy
