The National Mustard Museum is home to the world's largest collection of prepared mustards and mustard memorabilia. Tour our museum or sample any of our 500 mustards in the gift shop. Admission is free!
This place is a must, even if you do not like mustard. It has a very wide variety of products and samples are available to taste as well as buy. Downstairs is a museum to mustard .... yes you have to have a look ....even if just for the experience.

We were here to sample the beers. There were 11 of their beers on tap. The setting is very nice. Really liked the Lazurite IPA.

Forty marked, mostly flat, miles of trail out of Badger Praire County Park, about 10-minutes south of Madison.
Although this is a fine place to go for a walk, it's really just a straight-line trail, paved, that follows along the main road in Verona, travelling quite a ways in both directions. Yes, there are parts that wander through trees, etc., but for the most part, it's just a trail. Kinda "ho-hum"??

The majestic Roman Renaissance-style State Capitol has the only granite dome in the U.S. and inside has over 40 different types of stone from around the world as well as murals and handmade furniture. The observation deck, open in the summer, offers views of the city and surrounding lakes. Capitol Square plays host to state events throughout the year including Farmers Markets and Folk Festivals.
This State Capitol is stunningly beautiful. It has beautiful grounds, marble flooring and columns, stately governor’s office, senate, assembly and Supreme Court rooms, and, best off all, protesters who have gathered every day since Scott Walker’s election in 2011. They sing protest songs at noon every single day! What’s not to love?

We just a nice walk around the conservancy on Sunflower Days. Walked around the sunflowers and farm land. Nice rolling hills. The Friends of Pope Farm has set up a very nice 'days' for all ages. Free and they accept donations. Free parking for all including handicap.

No visit to UW would be complete without a visit to the student union and its famous terrace. The terrace has unparalleled views of the lake and is jammed in the nice weather. There are wonderful plaques honoring famous graduates and detailing important events all around the grounds as well. It’s worth a look just for the views—-all else is a bonus.

Hop Haus Brewing Company will create an ever-changing lineup of unique, inspired and sometimes experimental beers that can be appreciated by all. Our goal is to bring people together over a handcrafted beer. Beer that is equally as enjoyable to create, as it is to drink.
The beer was excellent, especially the belgian styles. The service was good. The chicken tenders and cheese curds were pretty good and the pizza looked good although we did not try the pizza. There could be a bit more food options, but one should go here for the beer. They have multiple styles and all are excellent. Flights of 5x2.5oz are very reasonably priced.
Although I stopped by with my family and friends, including three children and Hop Haus has games they can play, I would not recommend this place for families with young children.

This art museum's impressive collection includes, prints, photographs, paintings and sculptures from prehistoric times to modern day. Special exhibitions showcasing local artists take place throughout the year.
The Chazen has a beautiful art collection! While I was not very impressed with the current temporary exhibit, the rest of the museum made up for it. Definitely a must see for Wisconsin art enthusiasts, plus it's free! The only thing I wouldn't recommend is bringing children...they would probably get bored and there's a particular erotic sculpture of two goats on the 3rd floor you won't want to have to explain to them.

The owner, Rick held a 2 hour class on French wine. We learned about the regions and labels. The class was very well done with a great handout showing maps of regions and definitions of terms. We tasted 8 wonderful wines ranging in price from $20-$40. He was very thoughtful and had a basket of gluten free crackers for me to cleanse my pallet. The cost was $25 which was well worth the price. Looking forward to more in the future.

This local distillery is next to a coffee shop in a small strip mall across from the Carlson Country Inn and Suites. The retail operation is open most days from 10-5 and it has some great unique spirits they have distilled. All of them are great gifts for people who enjoy unique, low production spirits. Thursday evenings the bar is open from 5-10 pm. That's the time to visit! The owner, distiller will be around for questions and the bar is stocked with their products. The bartender knows some terrific cocktails for each of them. We visited after work for something to do and ended up buying their most recent release, the Albion Prairie Farms Apple Brandy. It was the best I have ever tasted. We are giving bottles to a lot of people on our list for Christmas.
