A great beach for all who enjoy the sand. Food bathrooms and even a shower. Great pier. Fishing is encouraged. A massive open beach. Great for families. Lots of parking I highly recommend this location.

Neighbor to the scenic Channel Islands, Channel Islands Harbor is a working harbor that offers fun-filled water activities for the whole family. About an hour's drive north from Los Angeles, the Harbor features several beach-lined parks and coastline for picnics and surfing, as well as nearby biking and walking paths. While at the Harbor, visit our many shops and dine at one of several restaurants with menus ranging from deli sandwiches to Brazilian cuisine. Be sure to check out the Channel Islands Maritime Museum with its ever-changing exhibitions, world-class maritime art, and ship models.
There is a very nice Farmers Market at the harbor every Sunday from 10a-2p. Many local fruit and vegetable vendors that are quite inexpensive plus flowers and plants. You can get local honey and there are a few craft vendors, too. A trip to the market on a Sunday morning makes for a great day and a week full of fresh produce.

Easy to pass by (the necessity of first entering a gift shop might confuse potential visitors) Mission San Buenaventura is a serene sanctuary. Awaiting inside is a hidden gem of serenity, beauty and history. This includes centuries-old historic artifacts in an intimate museum, and a meticulously maintained Spanish colonial-era Roman Catholic mission (circa 1809) whose sanctuary area contains an exact replica of “The Pieta” marble sculpture in Vatican. Only one hundred of these copies were created.

Camarillo Premium Outlets is more than just a great collection of the finest designer labels and brands, it is one of LA's hottest shopping destinations. Located just 45 minutes north of Los Angeles and 10 miles from the coast, this center is packed with discounted treasures. Be sure to include a stop on your next visit to Southern California. Local Shop & Stay packages are available.
Hundreads of shops well organized. Need couple of hours to walk through. Parking is located near the stores but during weekend if you don't come early you won't find parking easily. Prices are OK sometime good bargains can be found. Shop till you drop!!.s

This is great for all levels of riding (Depending how far you want to go), We started at the Vons in Ventura and rode to Ojai and found many restaurants that were open. We normally start around 9, get to Ojai by 11, just when the restaurants open up. There is a very slight uphill that you don;t really notice but when your belly is full and you're riding back, you notice that there is more coasting on the way back which is nice! Its mostly shaded and a beautiful ride. If you are doing the ride we did, I would classify it as intermediate mostly because the trip is about 31 miles round trip. So if your butt can handle it, then go for it!

After visiting Santa Cruz Island on a day trip, this was the perfect place to deepen our knowledge of the Channel Islands. It's on the small side, but well kept up with very friendly staff. Worth a visit!

Ojai Olive Oil is a fourth generation family owned and operated farm, and the oldest producer of extra virgin olive oil in the region. In addition to award winning olive oils, we also produce an array of delicious balsamic vinegars and wonderful food grade olive oil based skin care products. We are open 7 days a week from 10am-4pm for Free Tastings & Shopping, and are open on most holidays. On Sundays you can also find us at the Ojai Farmers Market in the middle of town from 9am-1pm. We do not require any reservations, and all tastings are free. Come visit our 170 year old heritage olive trees, learn about how olive oil is made, and get all of your questions about selecting, storing, and cooking with olive oil answered. We are certified organic, biodynamic, and also one of the few local examples of a working permaculture farm. Ojai Olive Oil is proud to be one of the Ojai Valley's most unique and well enjoyed destinations, and we look forward to seeing you at our farm :)
Make sure you get the directions from their website because GPS can be wrong. Due to Covid, you cannot taste the samples in the barn. They give you a tray with samples of oils and balsamic vinegars and you are free to try this at one of their picnic tables. We loved some and didn't like others. We ended up buying several bottles of the Signature Olive oil.

What a view of the Ventura beach and the city. This vantage point also has the best view of the sunset in Ventura. Erected by Mission Buenaventura, one of several Missions planted by Father Junipero Serra in the 1700’s, this highly visible cross served as a road sign for travelers in search of the Mission. The cross has been lost to elements many times, but it is always replaced and continues to stand above Ventura. Today, this Cross is still a land mark in Ventura city and the land where the cross sits was dedicated as Serra Cross Park within Grant Park recently. We had passed by this area many times on our way to Santa Barbara but never had a chance to visit here. Today, being the weekend, we finally decide to come to Venture to visit the pier and the Serra Cross Park. After, finished walking on the pier and had lunch, we drove about 10 minutes to reach the Cross Park. What a view!! From the park, we had a panoramic view of the city and the beach. Since this is part of Grant Park, we hiked to take advantages of many great trails at Grant Park. We planned that we would hike first before coming back to the Cross Park to enjoy the sunset in the evening. There are several hiking trails at Grant Park. We chose the one that goes up from the Cross Park. Once we reached the top, we had another magnificent view of the mountains and the beach. That view was just awesome. After the hike, we came down to the Cross Park around 7PM just in time to see the sunset. With the amazing white scale-like clouds, the sunset view from this vantage point was just spectacular with red and orange colors splashed all over the hills surrounding the Cross. We saw many people were just sitting around the benches over the Park, rejoicing and totally emerging in the beauty of the sunset scenery. What a way to end a day! There are many parking spots at the Park and you can park your car along the road as well.

Currently the museum is closed due to COVID, we will reopen when it is safe to do so for our volunteers, docents, and guests. Thank you
This small but mighty museum is awesome. So much to read and see and some airplanes are on display. Even more, a knowledgable docent will take you out to the runway to see other planes. Very exciting!!!
