We spent a day at Czech Paradise and were amazed by the beauty of it. Walking among the Rock Town and along the winding paths among the trees was heaven. We even got lost and didn't mind at all, although we had to eventually make an effort to get back on track as we were losing daylight. The area is the most breathtaking natural forestry that I've seen by far and I could have have happily spent far more than the one day exploring here. If you're in the area, definitely take a walk here. Go to Hruba Skala and enter the routes from here and there's a green path on the boards that loops around. You'll be glad you did!

The Museum of Bohemian Paradise was founded in 1886 as a regional museum; however, since the 1930s, it has specialised in precious stones and their processing (stone-cutting),which is a typical craft throughout the region. Here you can find a geology and mineralogy exhibition that will take you to the colourful world of minerals; examples of cut and engraved stones will show you the technology of stone processing and you will also be able to see historical jewels, followed by those that were created at international jewellers´ symposia. The underground Treasury features an historic collection of jewels, collected over time by the Turnov School of Applied Arts. We have also new expositions: Mountaineering, Gem Cutter's House, Luminescence.

Three kilometres away from Turnov (direction to Železný Brod – E65 road, train station Turnov-Dolánky) is located The Dlaskův statek Farm – a typical and rarely preserved specimen of the Jizera region house form. The originally freeholder’s homestead and magistrate’s house was constructed in the picturesque valley of the Jizera river in 1716. Since its origin, the building has gone through numerous construction alterations, the largest ones were performed in 1794 and 1841.
