Truro (/ˈtrʊəroʊ/; Cornish: Truru) is a city and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is Cornwall's county town, only city, and centre for administration, leisure and retail. Truro's population was recorded as 18,766 in the 2011 census. People from Truro are known as Truronians. As the most southern city in mainland Great Britain, Truro grew as a centre of trade from its port and then as a stannary town for the tin mining industry. Its cathedral was completed in 1910. Places of interest include the Royal Cornwall Museum, the Hall for Cornwall and Cornwall's Courts of Justice.

Absolutely phenomenal value for money and wonderful way to spend a few hours. We visited the brewery on a rainy Tuesday with very little expectation and were delighted to find a warm and friendly staff to greet us with a pint awaiting. The quality of the beer is beyond reproach and both the tour guide Louise (the daughter of the CEO no less) and the barman, Jason were flawless. By far the best value for money of any distillery or brewery tour I have ever done. Cannot recommend enough.

Nestled in the centre of the Cornish countryside only three miles from Truro, Llama Lland is set within our 140-acre farm. This farm has been in the Tripp family for over one hundred years. Established in 2001, Llama Lland is renowned for its quality and enjoyment factor. Due to the growing popularity in Llamas and being a one of a kind business in Cornwall, Llama Lland has become a sought-after attraction for those looking for a natural experience in the beautiful countryside. The friendly, relaxed atmosphere makes Penare Farm the perfect place for a peaceful walk with our Llamas. With the surrounding hills and amazing views your experience will be fun and enjoyable!
Definitely a unique experience visiting Llama Land. After mistakenly arriving at the wrong farm 200 yards away, we called Tom who directed us to the entrance. Seems its a common issue, but one he is looking to resolve. Tom introduced himself and set out the plan for the 3 hour experience. He then led us to the main barn where the Llamas were waiting patiently. He passionately explained the names and personalities of each llama and tried to match you up for the walk with a llama that fitted your personality and confidence with handling the animals. On the lovely cross-country walk (wellies or good walking boots advised!) we were kept entertained by our own and each others llama's - as well as Tom's amusing stories! After the walk, we were taken to another section of the farm to meet the other female llamas and the baby ones, and spent some time learning about the breeding and their names and habits - Tom is clearly very passionate about what he does. After this we were led to a larger barn, which is clearly being converted into a cafe/picnic area where he had laid on sandwiches, salads, scones and other snacks - all included in the price. It was a brilliant 3 hours, and although initially we had wondered about the price tag, Tom works really hard to make sure you get value for money. It would be great to see this experience grow but hopefully also retain it's unique feel. Thanks Tom!

Explore 1000s of historical objects from both Cornwall and the rest of the world, along with one of the county's finest art collections. Also open on Bank Holidays, and on Sundays in August.
Sadly the museum is currently closed for repair work but as they say about the V & A cafe, great cafe with rather a nice museum attached. Have been to the museum many times & the permanent collection is great as are the temporary exhibitions. Looking forward to the reopening. The cafe is on2 levels with 2 serving areas with good range of hot drinks & cakes & varied lunch menu. An additional bonus is the art shop at the back of the cafe which in addition to artists' materials has a great stock of unusual toys & games & stationery.

A beautiful building with super acoustics and a very friendly and generous clergy! I enjoyed singing there for a week with the Alleyn Singers and hopefully will get the chance to sing there again.

Recommended to visit this park if we had time by the lady in the tourist office. We took the walk to the park which is about a mile from the centre of Truro. It was a lovely walk and the park is very well provided with toilets and refreshment facilities. After a short rest and a coffee we went back to the City to continue to explore. The view of the Cathedral from here is excellent, as Truro is quite low level it dominates City.

Another visit to this lovely little cove; it has everything you need a couple of car parks, life guards, Dog friendly, cafes, bars and shops. Did I mention the gorgeous stunning scenery and clean crisp surf..... The village of St Agnes itself sprawls down the steep valley and its worth taking a stroll all the way down!

Told about this park by the lady in the tourist office. Interesting access through a passage near the courts. This is a beautiful garden on the side of a hill. The centre point is what I believe is a Victorian bandstand, however, there are a number of interesting sculptures and a floral display/memorial of a spitfire. We sat and enjoyed our picnic here - there were toilets available in the part at the lower entrance.

Deep in the heart of the Cornish countryside, we've been making the most of our orchards for over 30 years. Whether it's getting to the core of great flavour or thinking outside the box, we know what it takes to make apples special. Optional tours and experiences take you on a Cyder making journey - from apple to Cider! Take a tractor ride through our Orchards, and sample at least 20 varieties of Cyder, wine and preserves.
What a wonderful surprise treat for my husband's special birthday. An interesting Master Guided Tour, given brilliantly by knowledgeable Dean, all staff were smiling, friendly and helpful, drink tastings and food delicious, all in a relaxing atmosphere. Super experience. Tour and bottle of whiskey paid for by family but generally entrance and tastings free. We will definitely be visiting again.

Here at Callestick Farm we use fresh milk all from our own grass fed herd of Jersey x Friesian cows, local cream & then add the finest fruits & confectionery to create flavour upon flavour of dreamy, ice creamy indulgence! Our ice cream parlour located in the heart of Cornwall serves a variety of treats including hot waffles, our ever popular Cornish cream teas... (Remember - jam first!) And of course our ice cream sundaes! Head up to the Viewing Gallery where you can watch our production team in the factory making our delicious ice cream! We are perfect for an afternoon relaxing in our sunny courtyard, after a day at the beach or to shelter in our parlour when the Cornish weather is doing its thing. Our philosophy is simple; a balanced diet is an ice cream in each hand.
James, Dan and Josh all loved the play area, the big deck chair and the cow. They liked watching the ice cream been made then eating it. Brilliant day out for the whole family

Beautiful large garden. We did the private garden tour. Very informative and personal introduction by a private tour guide (in total 2 hour visit and walk through the garden). Detailed explanations. Very personal visit. followed by Cornish tea.
