Booked a private 2-hour tour (only $60 more per machine) for 5 people at the Brockway Summit location south of Truckee. Our group included two first time riders (16 and 18 years old). Our guide, Dan, gave us the tour of a lifetime with several stops for photos with beautiful Lake Tahoe in the background, including an all out snowball fight! Be prepared for an adrenaline rush!

Hannah made it fast and easy. We walked up, filled out paperwork, handed a credit card and got the safety run down. We were on the water enjoying the lake within 10 Minutes..no reservation, easy.. both people working there were young and very polite and accommodating. We took our small dog along and had a lovely time. We will be back..this was a great experience and the kayak /jet ski/ paddle board looked great too. Well run and fair pricing. Thank you

Easily one of the best bike parks anywhere. You can see the care and attention that has gone into crafting this place. Lines for everyone from beginner to the advanced rider. A "must visit" when in town if you are into bikes.

I have always loved this mountain lake, sort of a small version of Tahoe. Always pretty, but I most love it in the summer. Great state park at one end, nice private beach in between. Lots of lovely houses around. Good place for a very long walk.

This museum documents the fascinating and tragic history of the Donner Party's journey to the west coast.
First, avoid the $10 parking lot charge by parking along the street if you can. The museum is well worth a stop, as it gives a good overview of what the emigrants faced on their trip west. There is a 26-minute film, and there are well maintained walking trails.
