Our family of four hired a car specifically to visit the Museum and view the old ruins. We were so pleased that we did, the Museum is so informative and well laid out with amazing exhibits that bring to life the history of the region. There is also a film that helps explain some of the nearby ruins. The museum is closed on Tuesdays and Bank Holidays. Really the top attraction on the island and amazing value for Money.

Don't miss your chance to visit this shop/studio and find some incredible pottery!!! Costis is a wonderfully talented potter and has a true love for working with clay and preserving the tradition of his forefathers. His work is one of a kind, hand made with love, and truly original with gorgeous glaze colours that even sparkle in the sun! ???? The shop and studio is located right on the beach at the corner of the trail and you can buy some very affordable pieces or even some lovely sets that would make for some great gifts! (I wish I had more room in my suitcase!) I'm so fortunate to have visited here and to have spent some time with a true master as well. If you're in Thasos and appreciate true beauty and original art at a super price then you need to pay him a visit. Euxaristo para poli Costi! Thank you for your time spent with me and for sharing your gift with us all.

Psili Ammos Beach, near the settlement of Messaria on the island's northeast coast, features crystal-clear waters and golden sand dunes.
This year I have visited Thasos two times and visited almost every beach and even discovered some unknown, empty beaches. Definitely this beach is the best one if you are looking for an well-organised beach with good service. Staff was very friendly. There are two types of sunbeds & umbrellas. If you choose the better sunbeds you have to order drink or food which costs 20 euros and for the other sunbeds the price is 10 euros. Better go early in the morning, it is crowded

Don't miss it if you like sandbeaches. Avoid using any of the services offered here, don't buy anything. The owners an personel of the beach bar and sunbeds are literally destroyng the place. Best idea to bring your own umbrella and towels on the marvelous sand away from the amateurs that run the services.

La scala beach is an oasis in the hot summer. Starting in the morning with coffees, fresh juices, we continue in the evening with cocktails and special tastes at the restaurant.
Really nice beach with clean and soft sand. The water is crystal clear. Very interesting construction and decoration of the bar and surroundings. Good sunbeds with no fee, but you must have a drink from the bar. The stuff was nice and polite and the food/drinks are really good.

Great beach with holiday feeling and good sunbed service from staff! The sand is marble and does not get hot. Food is average but with fast service. We paid 25 euros as credit money and used them to order whatever we wanted. I recommend thia beach and not “Marble Beach” which is a total rip-off (there we paid 20 euros and got 2 drinks, beach very small and only food were croissant and bake rolls).
