Mountain Home Lodge offers a wonderful vacation experience that everyone will enjoy. We are located in Marten River on beautiful Red Cedar Lake, 45 minutes north of North Bay. Our 1 to 4 bedroom clean and comfortable cottages are well equipped with all the comforts of home. For those that love to fish, Red Cedar Lake offers pickerel/walleye, northern pike, small mouth bass, and perch. It is one of the most prolific lakes in the area. Red Cedar Lake still remains a true Northern fishing paradise with 100 miles of shoreline and provides the photographer with ample opportunities, from the soaring bald eagle to the flora and fauna. For the ATV enthusiast the area boasts many miles of old logging and bush trails. If you would like more information about our lodge, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would love to hear from you.Come relax in the quiet wild with us!!!
Our only vacation for the past 6 years has been at Mountain home Lodge - we started going up for one week, then two weeks, then three weeks and this year we booked 5 weeks throughout the summer - cannot think of a better place to spend time if your like the north. Gord and Kathy are the best hosts that we have had and we have been fishing all around the north for 25 years. They will do everything they can to make your stay a great time. Thanks guys for all you do.

While camping at Marten River provincial park, we took a drive to Temagami and climbed the fire tower in town. We'll worth the effort. A spectacular view of the area.

I mean, I should tell everyone this site is terrible, so that I can get it. Yes, it’s a back-in site. Also, it’s not a huge trailer site - it says 25’ will fit, but wouldn’t go any longer. But you have water access, and walking to the back of your site opens a whole new world, like it’s a backcountry site. Facilities are all clean and well tended. Programming on weekend for kids. Beaches aren’t the highlight here (there’s two small ones), but they’re clean & safe & good to wade in.

We originally booked Marten River Provincial Park during July and we upgraded our trailer from a small murphy bed mini lite to a Hideout with permanent queen bed. We had a 3 week period with no camper this Covid year has meant crazy RV sales things sold out everywhere. We rebooked this site was an add on to Pancake Bay as it's a little over halfway home and the 12 hour drive is better cut in half. Nice walks, quiet private treed sites, lovely river access from our site, we could take our chairs down and picnic right from the site. I will be going back. Dog area was combined with a boat launch don't understand the sense of that as it would be busy with traffic and also dogs? Muddy too. Everything else though was wonderful about the site and park.
