The megalithic place of Cuatro Puertas (literally four doors, in English due to the most important part is a cave with four entrances) is located in the west part of the island of Gran Canaria. It is one of the most important megalithic places in the island as La Cueva Pintada (the paint cave, in English) and El Cenobio de Valerón. Here you can see the cave with four entrances and if you walk 10 minutes more you can see a cliff, where there are a lot of curious caves and from here you can see very beautiful views of surroundings. Very recommendable for stonelovers!

Melanara beach is excellent – spacious, the dark sand warms up nicely and the sea floor is soft sand. There are nice seafood restaurants around and showers.

If you’re in the area, it is a cool place to see. Basically, it’s just a small formation of water that is connected to the ocean and because of that, the water level rises and falls sharply creating an interesting effect. It’s a place where to stop for some minutes to observe the hipnotizing movements of the waves and the water.
