This is the best beach I have ever visited. Is not invaded of hotels, it kept the natural look. All those many options to eat. It offers special amenities for disable people. It includes a tourist office to inform available services. It is a must in life before it becomes more industrialized.

Great for walking or biking and having sea and birds at both sides while lot of raccoons crossing the road. Bikes are special and for rental because sit 4-5 persons. It is like 1 mile walk each way and lighthouse is at the end. It is right at Miramar beach.

Avenida Guerrero

Located in a lively Mexican border town, this main "strip" is filled with tourist shops and restaurants, most taking American dollars.

We are spending two nights in Laredo and walked over the border to spend several hours in Nuevo Laredo. We spent so much time fretting beforehand over whether or not we should make the trip. We are so incredibly glad we did! We had a super fun time! Sure, we got approached by people offering us dental services and pharmaceutical drugs. But we didn't find them intimidating at all. We walked through a lot of souvenir type shops. One woman shockingly refused to negotiate with us at all with some of prices. However, we then found a store with the sweetest older couple that owned it. They let my son buy a really nice wooden chess for just six dollars! He is so happy with it! We did see several military pick-up trucks with soldiers bearing rifles or some kind of guns. They appeared to be in the position as ready to shoot at any moment. However, when I started videotaping one he looked at me and started smiling and waving happily. It was very funny! It took us no time to walk from Laredo to Nuevo Laredo. Coming back, there was a long line, and we did witness three border agents escorting someone out of the country. They took his handcuffs off, handed him his belongings in a Ziploc bag, gave him back his belt and waited for him to leave. His face was covered with tattoos. It was pretty wild to witness. Making the trip into Nuevo Laredo was definitely an amazing way to spend a few hours. We did it around 10 o'clock in the morning. So, obviously I can't say what the area is like at night. But if you are looking to spend a morning or early afternoon in Nuevo Laredo, I think you will be absolutely fine. Spending money to help the livelihood of these people actually feels really good! The people of Mexico are getting such an unfair rap, and I'm glad we could do something little for at least a few of them today.
