Ben A’an is a great hike, it probably took us 1hr 30 up with a few stops and similar back down. It has quite a steep incline so bear that in mind, however the views at the summit are spectacular! Definitely worth a visit. Note** if parking make sure to get there early as on weekends it gets very busy after 9:30am and nowhere to park on the roads. Also bring midgy repellent it was full of them!

Dominating the skyline for miles around, Stirling Castle is a shining example of Renaissance architecture. Visitors can look out from its high stone walls to the battlefields of Stirling Bridge where great medieval armies clashed to decide the fate of nations. Home to generations of Scottish monarchs including, Mary Queen of Scots, the Castle is an enduring and powerful reminder of our fascinating history.
This was a wonderful day out - we went with our 7 year old twin grand daughters who had a whale of a time! They found the experience a great adventure The Castle was well organised and managed with knowledgeable and friendly staff that all added to the experience We all enjoyed a snack at the Unicorn Cafe - again well run and organised, in fact the coffee was good Most of castle was opened, in fact not much is closed off!

A national hero - a national landmark. For 150 years The National Wallace Monument has been standing proudly on The Abbey Craig, outside the historic city of Stirling, and telling the thrilling story of Sir William Wallace, Patriot, Martyr, and Guardian of Scotland.
The climb up to the top of the Monument is well worth the climb and the viewing of the artifacts within are breath taking, the gift shop is reasonably priced as well, we will be back to climb those stairs again!

The largest fresh-water loch in the United Kingdom.
My wife and I walked virtually the full length of the loch on the eastern side on days 2 and 3 of the West Highland Way. We were very lucky with great weather. The loch was a real highlight of the walk.

Welcome to Loch Katrine - one of Scotland's special places. Just as special as the magnificent scenery is the famous steamship "Sir Walter Scott" which itself has been a landmark in The Trossachs for over a hundred years. Your visit is not complete without a cruise on this wonderful ship, or on "Lady of the Lake", the perfect way to experience the beauty of Loch Katrine. Perhaps you'll just want to relax with a coffee or a meal in the Brenachoile Cafe Bar, shop for a souvenir and take a stroll by the shore, or bring the family for a cycle trip?
We had booked the Loch Katrine cruise with afternoon tea afterwards in the Steamship Cafe. From start to finish everyone was warm and welcoming from the lady who took our booking , to Captain Steph and Debbie on board the Lady of the Lake to the lovely lady who served us our afternoon tea. It was such a peaceful day on the loch and the scenery was just stunning with the sunshine peeping through on occasions and skimming the snow top hills. Would highly recommend this trip

Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre is located in a natural woodland which retains much of the original woodland and streams to provide the ideal natural setting for nearly 40 Birds of Prey & Owls. The centre is home to over 20 Owls, representing every native species as well as unique or unusual species from other parts of the world. See "Orla", and "Scout" our two magnificent female Golden Eagles. See a selection of hawks and owls fly during our daily flying shows in the flying area. Hear how these magnificent creatures have evolved to become the success predators they are, and how they live on the edge of survival every day. During current Covid restrictions we limit the number of visitors on site at any one time (currently 60). There are hand sanitisers located within the centre. We request everyone to abide by the social distancing guidelines.
I spent the morning with Stewart and Kevin on a hunting experience with the beautiful Inca the Harris Hawk. I had such a lovely morning with them, walking the fields overlooking Loch Lomond in the search of pheasants for Inca. After the experience we stayed for the flying display which was one of the best I’ve ever been to, Stewart and Kevin have so much passion for their birds, their knowledge and love really shows, which made the display so much more enjoyable. As others have mentioned, the centre is small, but if you rush around things then yes it’ll take 10 minutes but if you’re interested in the birds and take your time you could be there for hours! Thank you to the whole team at the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre!

Spectacular views of the falls and Bridge, and good paths and roads make a relatively easy walk. Well worth a couple of hours.

A stunning little waterfall that is a short walk from the car park just off the main road. We stopped off on a journey up North. The only downside was the car park is small and there is nowhere to go if there are no spaces on busy Summer days, but if able to park it is a 5 minute walk to the area where you can view the falls. You can see the falls from various angles, including clambering down onto some rocks or a much more accessible walk way which goes right up to them.
