Atlungstad Distillery was built in 1855, and is today the only building complex that reflects the development from village distilleries to a more widespread production. The distillery was chosen as Stange Municipalitiy’s Millennium Site, and it has been granted protection status as a cultural monument of technical interest by the Directorate for Cultural Heritage. Today the distillery is the oldest producing distillery in Norway, and is also a restaurant, meeting and conference senter. The restaurant serves Norwegian traditional food with a twist of the modern and a hint of aquavit. You can experience the history and production trough guided tours of the distillery and complex.
