Sugary-white sand, dolphins frolicking just off shore and eight major barrier islands make St. Pete Beach a postcard-perfect seaside destination. Situated on a peninsula off Florida's west coast, it balances its oceanfront charms with top-notch art museums, including the largest collection of Salvador Dali paintings outside of Spain. Kayak through the calm waters, take a ferry to nearby Caladesi Island State Park to experience the state's wild beauty or stroll the rapidly gentrifying downtown for one-of-a-kind cafes.

Historic beach area with restaurants, shopping, fishing, bike rentals, boat tours and cozy inns and motels.
My wife and I went to St Pete Beach recently and visited friends in Pass-a-Grille (or PAG as they call it in Florida). It is a delightful area, highly walkable with lovely restaurants, beautiful homes and views and a laid back, comfortable lifestyle. Simply put..........we could live here......and might. Our friends recently bought a house here and love it. With most people working from home now, it makes sense to be in a relaxed place with natural beauty. PAG certainly qualifies. For great views while eating, the Paradise Grill there is phenomenal unless you are attacked by a hungry seagull (even that is not too bad here). Love to spend more time here and will do so soon. I would recommend it but if I do I am afraid you will like it too and may be competing with us on a home purchase (LOL).

We have been members of this Museum for over 30 years. We renew our membership each year on our PAG vacation. The docents are knowledgeable. The photos are remarkable. Then exhibits are well worth experiencing.

Historic fishing pier with bait and tackle shop, fishing charters, island excursion charters and fresh seafood for sale. Bike and rod rentals.
If you are looking for a place to fish, when visiting St. Pete Beach- Florida try Merry's Pier. I enjoyed fishing off the pier ( which is free if you have a license). If you don't, you can pay a $3 dollar fee and you can fish. A small bait and tackle shop is located on the premises. While visiting, in October 2019 we caught; Trigger Fish, Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackeral, Catfish, Grunts, Spots, and Pin Fish. Watch out for the birds though. They are quite the beggars and will try to still your bait ( sometimes your catch), if you are not careful

Gorgeous, laid-back St. Pete Beach was voted TripAdvisor's No. 1 Beach in the U.S. and No. 5 in the world in 2012, based on millions of reviews from travelers around the world. When you visit this magical expanse of sand, you'll understand why.
St Pete beach is a beach with a beauty all its own, the water, sand, sunsets, surroundings are all number 1! As a wedding planner, I recommend this beach to hold a beach wedding and is very popular for beach ceremonies, the best time being at sunset when the weather is cooler, the crowd has lessened, and you can take in the beautiful sunsets.

Fresh Seafood Market, Fresh grouper, Key west pink Shrimp, Jumbo shrimp, Crabs, Stone crab claws, Crab cakes, Fish Spread, Snapper, Hogfish. Fresh seafood direct from our boat. Family owned and operated.
I have ordered seafood here online several times and have just placed another order. Have always received fresh, well wrapped seafood shipped to my home in Toledo, OH. I was able to visit the shop while in St. Pete Beach on vacation. Got a lot of helpful information from a friendly staff. They now have a new machine to wrap and seal the seafood, making it ship even better.

My husband and I took an anniversary trip to St. Pete. I had done research on different breweries in the area, and almost knocked Mastry's off the list because of some previous reviews. My advice is- GO THERE! It is a really interesting location, and the beertender Amie was GREAT. She was very knowledgeable about the beers and the area. They brew many different types of beer, and their pumpkin beer was one of the best I've ever had. My husband had an IPA that he really enjoyed. The atmosphere was really nice and it is well worth a trip!
